Robert O
My first MG was a TF roadster bought new in 2004. Positively the worst purchase I ever made in my life. To compound my dissatisfaction, MG went bust a few months after I took possession and with it went my warranty.
I can see the workmanship and build quality of these cars in the latter years was no minor factor in them going tits up.
Anyhow, with the involvement of Saic I remained unimpressed with MGs until the MG4 appeared.
On initial observations I thought this car was worth a closer look.
The build quality wasn’t top notch but a lot better than the Leyland built predecessors.
The ride however once the numerous software issues had been sorted out was more than impressive and factoring in the price for a full ev with a practical range I took the plunge.
In fairness, the issues I had with the vehicle initially were mostly down to the shortcomings of the dealership I bought it through and once I decided to have a different dealership deal with these issues everything has been fine since.
