As an automotive locksmith I can assure you button cell batteries dont last forever in the pack, if I had a £ for every vehicle key fault I had attended where customer had just fitted a new battery I would have hundreds of £'s by now. Both quality and cheap ones are often dead out of the packet.

Not really got to the bottom of this, however I have discovered that if you pull the handbrake switch on the handbrake will operate whilst the vehicle is moving and boy does it pull it up suddenly!

Tried both the free 7 and 22kw free charger at my local Tesco, however (and I did try and find it n the instructions) however there appeared to be no difference in the amount of charge the car received. Is a MG5 limited as to how much charge the 5 will accept through the type 2 plug? Chris
