SOC different between car and OBDII scanner report

The buffer is part of the battery that you can't use, this is to protect the battery so you can't overcharge it or run down to complete zero.

SOC different between car and OBDII scanner report

I don't really know but my guess is that the car shows the usable SOC 100% whilst the OBD shows the usable as 95% and the other 5% is the non usable buffer.

    Tesla Supercharger Issue MG5 LR

I have just got off the phone to MG customer assistance and was told that the pre facelift will not get a free update as it is classed as an optional upgrade and the £1000.00 plus labour is correct, only the facelift version gets it free as an update.

    Tesla Supercharger Issue MG5 LR

I have just come off the phone to my MG dealership (Toomey's) and was told that on the facelift version there is an update however the pre facelift it is not covered by the warranty and it's classed as an enhancement not an update at a cost of an eye watering £1000 plus labour. Apologies if...

Thanks for the info, do you have an MG5 pre facelift? The reason I ask is that I have heard the facelift works better with obd's than the pre facelift.

    MOT SOH

I wish knew my MG5 LR battery state of health. My first service I didn't get one , second service they didn't do one so I asked for one and they couldn't do it because their lap top wasn't working so they said when it is repaired they will contact me, this was last September and I haven't heard...

MG5 complete failure after wet road

Any car should be able to wade through that depth water there must be a faulty something that the warrant should cover.🤞 My MG5 pre facelift has been through deeper than that with no issues.

    Rapid speeds FL

Whilst on this subject during my Scotland trip I stopped overnight at a Premier Inn with a Genie point charger and I couldn't get it to charge. So I gave up and next morning went to a BP high power charger wouldn't work either (never had problems with these before) eventually found a Pod point...

    Rapid speeds FL

Yes I get what your saying. On 50kW chargers I find 43kW acceptable but on a 150kW I don't think 43kW is. I know my max charge rate is 90kW and 150 will never be achieved but nearer to 75-80kW after driving for nearly two hours at 70mph should be attained, I would have thought the battery would...

    Rapid speeds FL

Yesterday I drove back from Scotland 460 miles. My first stop was 100 miles and because it was only 2°C my 1 hr 40 min journey I put on the battery heater for the last 40 mins of the journey arrived at 43% which is a bit high but thought I would achieve higher than 46 kW max speed using the...
