    Battery balancing

Great stuff, thanks. I think I'm on the old BMS. I checked when it charged to 100% and it read 456v. But yes, plan is to try and get at least one balance at work. Will look through the link, thanks for that, and will try my best not to get paranoid about battery issues ;)

    Battery balancing

Yes, I read the advice in the manual too. I think I'm a low usage case, have accumulated about 300 miles on the car over past 3 months. Some of the comments here seem to suggest that balancing could take any time between 2 to 10+ hours, and since there's no indication on the dashboard, it's...

    Battery balancing

Hi all, I've searched through some forums but not found an answer - the conversation here is the closest I think that relates to my question. I've had my ZS EV for about 3 months now and it drives great. I don't have a driveway so cannot charge/ balance at home. Instead I'm mainly charging at...

Parking and hand brake lights on

Yes, I've noted the same, and it does switch off after 30 seconds. Maybe I was worrying about nothing...!

Parking and hand brake lights on

Thank you both. I've not seen this previously in my car. When I switch power off everything closes instantly, only this time there seemed to be a delay. Very strange.....I'll try and time it if it happens again

Parking and hand brake lights on

Hi all, has anyone had the parking 'P' light on the dash and the hand brake light remain on even when you switch everything off? I had this today, locked and unlocked the car a few times, drove a bit more and then brought it to park again, took the key out of range, but both the 'P' and the band...

    London congestion charge exemption

Oh yes, I had to pay the £10 first for them to even consider - this all seems the wrong way round to me, tfl use DVLA data so they should already have the details, we are required to pay upfront for something that's not very clear, and in the meantime we're liable for paying the congestion...

    Sorry BMS again!

Thank you so much, that is really super helpful

    London congestion charge exemption

Happy to report I recvd confirmation from tfl that my car is exempt, and they've given me an expiry date to next year - yayy! But, like you @teepee , the website still shows I need to pay! I wonder if there's any step we are missing??

    Sorry BMS again!

Thanks for asking this question @JCFlippen. And at risk of disclosing my utter lack of knowledge about all things batteries and volts, if I'm charging the car and the battery is at about 58%, the dash shows 410 volts, it that normal? Have I understood it correctly that it would show 456 or 449...

    London congestion charge exemption

I bought mine from Marylebone too, and I believe they don't have any service facility - they use Eastcote themselves. There aren't enough staff in Marylebone (I heard about two managers leaving while I was purchasing my car) and I think they need two drivers to run the cars between the two...

    London congestion charge exemption

Yup! That was my reaction too. Sad really isn't it, as this spoils the excitement of getting a new car. I've asked both Eastcote and MG for answers, hopefully they get bored with ping ponging my complaint between them and someone will reply soon...

    London congestion charge exemption

Oh great! I did not know that!! I can't figure out how to put a 'like' on comments, it didn't give me the option....

    London congestion charge exemption

I got an email from tfl earlier saying that as my car was electric that it would be exempt from the congestion charge, but I was still required to upload the V5 - to prove something that they themselves are telling me! Very strange.... I have now paid the £10 and uploaded the detail, so fingers...

    London congestion charge exemption

Thanks for this, helpful to know that it does work. I actually got my V5 before the car (Eastcote service centre not very competent and took ages unfortunately), but hoping by next week it will work. The £10 charge - I'm still not clear why this is payable, the car is exempt so there should be...
