I have fitted one, didn’t seem to be much difference, sensitivity is ok. It leaves small bubbles under the screen though however hard I try to squeeze them out. It may not stay on as it’s irritating me!
Connected but really didn’t do much to defrost compared to what my previous Kona would have done. Having run for 10 minutes it wouldn’t let me do it again due to ‘too frequent requests, unable to execute for car safety. Start car to reset’. I would have done that if the door would have opened...
Not judging anyone’s age but as we get older the conductivity of our fingers decreases as they loose moisture.
Have a look at this:
AI has this to say about it:
Why Dry Fingers Cause Issues
Most modern touchscreens (on smartphones, tablets, etc.) are capacitive. They work by sensing the...
Get it back to the dealer and ask them to update all software. I had this randomly particularly wearing active sunglasses. The software update has fixed it.
Unfortunately in the MGS5 this isn't possible. When the car is in Drive or Reverse and it is below the light level for auto headlights they are on main beam regardless. It is a feature apparently! You can only turn off the main headlights at night when the car is in park and it goes straight...
I think it’s the other way round, 3 is lowest beam setting when I tested it. I have to use this when I reverse into my drive to avoid dazzling my neighbour opposite who doesn’t seem to understand the concept of pulling his blinds at night!
I don't think there are any MGS5 updates yet as it uses a newer Infotainment software than the MG ZS EV.
The most likely reason you are seeing incorrect speeds is as you say it misreads the side roads although the 25 mph one is very odd!
Ask them to ensure all modules are up to date on software, I had a number of strange issues particularly with ADAS and really had to push them to update it and prove to me they had with print outs. Since this was completed about 10 days ago the car has behaved very well. Software can be a right...
It may be worth trying a reset of the Infotainment system, not sure if they are linked or not. Press and hold the home button for about 10 seconds until the infotainment resets.
It's a combination, I use CarPlay and Apple Maps but have found every now and then I need to load up the internal Sat Nav or the speed signs on the dashboard stop working.
Launch the built in satnav, it needs to be loaded sometimes to kick in gps. This will stop the —- on the sign and show what it thinks is the correct limit. None of these sign recognition speed limiters work well, my old Kona was just as bad as the MG.
It is, I generally charge between 20% and 80% most of the time. Obviously when you need a long journey it’s designed to be charged to 100% and on the app calls this ‘long journey mode’ when over 80% charged.
