Some MG dealerships are offering 1 weeks free MG insurance in order to be able to take the car home, but then still have the same problem a week later until next year, as one insurer told me it could take weeks before the car appears on their system.

The correct details - MG5 EV Trophy - now appears on most of the comparison websites, but none of them end up giving me a quote - I wonder if anyone else is finding this also.

Just tried MG Insurance, they couldn't find the car from the number plate. Entered it manually as an MG5 Trophy and they said that that they couldn't provide a quote. If MG can't insure the car, there's not much hope for anyone else.

Just rang Direct Line, they only have the MG5 Excite and Exclusive models on their database, so were unable to insure the MG5 Trophy model until it has been updated. It was worth a try anyway.
