I can only comment on IPhone and CarPlay, as standard it works when locked and if you want/need to have it unlocked to connect then that option is available in CarPlay settings

I had the same issue with a brand new authentic Apple cable and as soon as I changed to an Amazon basics cable it solved the issue and now connects every time. You should not need to have the phone unlocked unless you have chosen that setting on your phone.

In comparison to my previous car they don’t seem to have a wide spread or activate until a lot closer to the car.. just getting used to the change I suppose and not the end of the world! Front sensors would’ve been nice too ??‍♂️
