Yes, you can do exactly as you describe, simply set the Ohme app (this is what does the work) to use the off peak charge limit of 7.5p per kWh. It will then only charge at that rate during the 2330 to 0530 period. There are other smart tariffs but they might not suit your needs though perhaps...

Maybe you had a slightly defective battery. In any case, it's very easy to replace - the plastic case splits apart by prising open and you'll see the battery and housing. The case then snaps back together easily!

It's not a standard accessory but you might be lucky. Worth checking with whoever is supplying the vehicle. A 3 pin domestic socket (granny) charging lead should be with the car as standard but that won't fit your BP unit. Did you specifically ask for an untethered unit? You'll need a cable to...

You're perfectly entitled to go to a non MG dealer for a service at any time as long as they use proper/approved parts and stick to the service schedule. That said, I have a feeling that the warranty is 7 years or 70k, whichever comes sooner, in which case you may be out of it anyway...

Which model car was this? I've never seen it and am on original key fob batteries (2020 MG5 pre FL) but an alert is more than useful as without this you're in a bit of trouble. As @Alb says, don't ignore it as a service may or may not check fob battery strength!

I agree - Google/Apple Maps or Waze also shows live traffic too which the Inbuilt SatNav never did. That said, I have sometimes made better choices myself than Google Maps has...

I'm sure you'll enjoy - no regrets from me over 50k miles in so far now!
