I’m on my second EO mini unit following a failure of the first, replacement under warranty. The original model style though is over three years old now and is not a smart charger.

Yes. My bmw i3 works and my parents e-Niro does too. I tend to agree with you about the EO, but as other cars work EO don’t want to know.
