Happened to me only 3 weeks after delivery. Took it to the dealer who said the software needed a re-boot. They did it free of charge and since then, no issues at all. I asked the dealer if I could have done the re-boot but (predictably) he said no.

I posted this on the main forum, but has anyone in Australia had the problem of the bluetooth connection to the phone dropping out randomly? I’ve had the car just over 12 months now and have had to pair it to the phone at least 8 times - no repeatable pattern that I can work out.

Thanks, my local dealer reckons there is no Infotainment upgrade available, since the car is only 12 months old.

I have frequent but irregular disconnects between the car (MG4 Essence) and my iPhone (11). I have had to pair the phone to the car on about a monthly basis. The only way to successfully pair it again is to delete the car from the iPhone Bluetooth settings (forget this device) then start again...

Same happened to me. Luckily the window was closed. Got it to the dealer early and all that was needed was a software re-boot. All good since then.

Should have prefaced my earlier remarks with the disclaimer I live in Queensland. Days below 0 degrees can occur but very infrequently and only for a handful of days over winter. Also I live near the ocean (Gold Coast) so even frosty mornings are a rarity.

Here in Australia we don’t get those crazy low temperatures, so no issues achieving the WLTP ranges in normal conditions. However, what does reduce the range (quite considerably) is motorway driving. Clearly a lot more battery power is need to push the car along at 110 km/h than at 60 around town.
