3rd anniversary. I see a lot of comments on the MG4 owners FB group where people are trading in but the majority are 2 year leases or PCP with quite a few 1 year leases too. Distorts the numbers as there are more EV’s to choose from as well!
Longevity is not guaranteed- depends how it’s been charged and stored, overall LFP will degrade quicker if frequentky deep discharged. So it depends on previous usage plus how you intend to use it.
Your formula is faulty. The kWh per 100km is a rolling average. When you took that figure at the 0% mark, it only gave you an estimate based on the last few km driven.
I don’t keep saying the beams are flat - I said they are effectively flat according to the MOT manual and there isn’t really any ‘step’ in the MG4 headlights. The slanted beam isn’t a kick up, neither is i5 a step and it’s so shallow I doubt if it would prevent any dazzling to oncoming traffic...
So as you lot hijacked my original post/question, I did some research in both teh UK MOT manual and the Irish NCT manual.
THe answer is simply that in effect, there is NO 'kick-up' on the MG4 headlights, that bit of a slope is probably due to a slight misalignment when fitted. The slightly...
There is no individual adjustment for the LEDs inside the headlight. You can adjust high and low beam on each side, independently. I repeat….the part numbers for each headlight are the same for the trophy (UK) or the Luxury (EU) versions.
Thread here for the adjustments MG4 Trophy headlamp...
No, it’s the same part number for the headlights whether for a LHD or RHD market.
The beams aren’t supposed to be ‘stepped’ but it seems that in the UK they’re delivered like that. It’s not done anywhere else so far as I know and if it is, it’s just a tweak on the adjustment screws
A question to anyone who has changed a Trophy/Luxury headlight - left or right doesn't matter!
I need to change a headlight as I punched a hole in the front of it (headlight meets steel post box, the post box won :( )
I sourced an immaculate new right hand headlight from Latvia - the donor car...
and to answer the question - the MG4 Trophy (Luxury) model as 'flat' beam headlights, so they are identical whether LHD or RHD. Indcators etc., all the smae.
Changing from MPH to KMH is just a setting on the infotainment screen. So apart from the steering wheel etc. being on the 'wrong' side...

DON’t panick! It’s the same battery pack as the MG4 and has been in use for over 3 years now.
This looks like an isolated/rare occurrence, certainly the only one I’ve seen heard of so far. It’s also possible it’s due to an external cause and not the battery itself that caused the problem.
nice pics, thanks - you get bonus points for blue :)
The S5 hasn't arrived in Ireland yet but will do in a couple of weeks. Looking at possibly changing as at the moment the better half is still running an 18 year old corolla hatchback. As we are aging (disgracefully) we need to come down to 1...
