If the vehicle is still under warranty and you access the engineering menu, which is presumably for service techincian access, then I wonder if MG can track the date and time of access AND use that information to decline warranty cover if something goes wrong with the vehicle?

If the car is still under warranty, and he is the selling dealer, then it is his problem surely
Tell him you want a full refund for the car, see what he then says
