I have just had my 45k service at Eden Motors at Swindon. I had a warranty repair and was towed there under the MG Assist arrangement. The part could have been repaired but MG said no it must be renewed. As it was a 3 day wait for delivery I asked them if they could do the service at the same...
I used Tesla at Banbury for 5 months with no problems until Tesla blocked my MG5 Excite. People on this site speak of an update to the battery management system, sometimes paid for sometimes free. Both my local dealerships deny it's existence and tell me my car if fully updated. Good luck with that.
Another person getting the Tesla update. I am so jealous. All of the 3 dealerships within my range all deny it exists. Their database says my car has all updates installed. To be fair, I had a tesla network I passed 3 times a week. It was one of the trial ones and worked without any problems for...
My MG5 recently reported it to be 36⁰c outside when all the windows were frosted. Then just to prove it's point it refused to allow the heater to work.
When I try to use my rear screen washer water can be heard swishing in the top right end of the dashboard on my MG5EV. I think the pipe may have been pushed apart during a frost. Water can be seen dripping from below the dash onto the drivers side door post.
How can I gain access to that upper...
Ill ask again tomorrow when try to book in for sorting out my ,at the moment, optional heater. And the outside temperature which wavers between 9⁰c and 36⁰. Strange to say the closer it comes to being correct the better the heater works.
I see quoted below that Octopus give you a compatibility check on their site. I tried that link less than an hour ago but didn't manage to find out anything except they know have over 280 cars compatible.
My heater, same model as yours failed 3 days ago. Being the Excite basic model the aircon has to be selected with a button to turn it on. I do have the good fortune that it will work at full blast but 1 click downwards shuts it off.
Strange to say the outside temperature reading started going...
I used the Banbury Tesla Chargers maybe 8 or 10 times from the time they were made open to non Tesla. I have a 2021 MG5. I had no problems at all. Then after April 1st charging failed every time with the same message as stated above. Return the plug and try again. Eventually I got in contact...
I got 33,000 out of mine.I did a lot of checking websites. Ended up with Yokohama Blue Earth GT with a higher speed rating. Better grip than the original Bridgestone and less roll on the corners and roundabouts. Had them on for nearly 5k miles znd very appy with them. £110 + vat
I can't even find a dealer that admits there is an update in existence, let alone install it. Mind you one of them did try to bill me for replacement of my engineoil, oil filters and fuel filters and disposal of the old ones. Plus £65 extra to tell me the state of the battery. This was at 2nd...
I've used my granny charger since my MG5 was new. At first with trepidation with all the bs on Youtube I would not leave it unattended. I bought a decent 5m cable and as I got cockier a decent timeswitch. Bulb got bought out and so at last I got a smart Smart Meter that works. So 75p every...
Be careful with extension leads. Unless they are laid out fairly straight heat will build up on a bend in the lead. Many leads explain the if on a reel the entire length should be off the reel if using appliances near the 13amp limit. Also ensure any plug in points are a tight fit and not made...
My MG5 worked perfectly on the Tesla Banbury site for the first 4 months. Then stopped. Tesla must have changed something because their support people MG were barred due to missing protocols in their cars.
Seeing that on second service my nearest dealer tried to charge me for oil change,oil...
