Has anyone (had satellite navigation badly direct)

Hello all, I have an MG3+Hybrid. Bought it new 6 months ago and it has been fine; covered 4000 miles to date. Love the car but not the complicated (and forever self-adjusting) technology. The Satnav often takes me a strange way, for example; it took me onto the A500 ('D'-Road) near where I live...

Has anyone (had satellite navigation badly direct)

Not sure whether or not I can contribute here here goes; tell me off if I have got it wrong. I have a new MG3+Hybrid Trophy and following a few months trying to sort out the strange and interesting problems with this car, now love it. It is the most quirky-vehicle that I have ever owned. After 3...

MG3 Hybrid+ - Rear creaking noise when driving over bumps

Very true; forgot this one! Yes, there are rattles coming from the rear seat belts as well. As you say, buckle them up and rattle disappears. Other quirk which I cannot fix. Inserted a memory stick into the slot and listened to my favourite tracks of music; no problems, sound was great. Now...

MG3 Hybrid+ - Rear creaking noise when driving over bumps

Hi all, don't know about you out there owning/driving MG3+Hybrid Trophy's, but I cannot stand strange noises!! My wife solves these annoying problems by turning the radio/media up loud. Seems to work for her. The other day my new MG3 was making the usual creaking/rattling noises coming from the...

Balancing the narrative of good and bad

Hello 'Tim19', agree entirely with you on this issue. I have had my MG3+Hybrid Trophy for 5 months and travelled 4000 miles in it. No problems at all. I still smile at the sheer 'quirkiness' of this car and the way that it seems to re-set my settings from one day to the next. I found this very...

    Rusty brake discs

Hello IDC, I believe that this is normal. In the past I have owned expensive cars and the discs look similar even on vehicles costing a lot more money. Cast iron discs will obviously discolour but so do many stainless steel discs; perfectly normal. Someone in the forum suggests some heavy...

Is this car a good buy?

Hello, I've owned a new MG3+Hybrid Trophy since June 2024 and very pleased with it too. Over my many years of motoring and many cars, old and new, nothing is as 'quirky' as this car. Great car and great fun to drive but far too much technology for me. I've been told that this is the future? I...

    Speed limit recognition is dodgy

Hi 'PTW', thought that it was just me? Sometimes I am driving along, minding my own business and trying my best to stick to the speed-limit and then, indicator suddenly shows 100. Took me awhile to sort out what 100 meant. MG dealer, "Oh it has gone into Kilometres instead of Miles". Oh, that's...

    Insurance

Hi Italy, I spent a good hour examining the various quotes advertised in the comparison sites. Still no idea why the MG3+ was so expensive. I have an Audi Q5 and that is fast and expensive and for me and my wife, half the price of the MG to insure. Perhaps I caught the insurance companies on an...

    Insurance

Hello, I have the MG3+Hybrid Trophy and despite the strange 'quirks' I love driving it. Bit I don't like. I have been with LV Insurance Co for years and own other vehicles. Because of my age and record I enjoy 'cheap' insurance. That is, until I bought this car! I expected to pay £250 full comp...

    Mg3 mpg

Hi there, I get 64.8mpg overall from my MG3+Hybrid Trophy. Personally having tried eco mode I don't see the point. I use normal mode and am very pleased with the mpg. I don't like sport mode nor do I use it. Hope that this helps?
