Tested the showroom granny charger for a bit today as promised and it seems to be working. This implies that the new one they supplied me, with the car, was faulty. Might be an idea to try your car with one that has worked on other cars. At the MG showroom for example; they might lend you one...
I'll let you know tomorrow, when I've tried the new (used) charger out. Sorry my previous post was ambiguous: I meant the charger was working in their showroom.
Same problem: new charger supplied with car didn’t charge. Garage couldn’t fix though I left it with them for two weeks. Presumably they contacted MG for guidance. Ended up giving me a used charger from their showroom floor, where it was working. Haven’t tried it yet. Definitely will now though.
I’m aware and that’s obviously a more reliable indicator of the state of the battery. But I find myself doing maths all the time! Approx battery charge (from approx percentage) times recorded average range/kWh (from the trip meter). That’s a calculation the car could do for me, preferably on...
Strikes me as a pointless indicator in that case, if not actually misleading. It would be better if the Range rocker switch on the centre console gave a percentage of battery charge rather than repeating this useless measure.
Anyway, I disconnected the 12V battery and the range reset itself to...
“Reset the overall consumption”?
I haven’t reset anything but I did have it in the garage to check an issue with the granny charger not working. After they had had it, the first charge I did showed the 3 hours of 0.33kWh - presumably balancing. I know they reset several parameters then...
Charged my 2020 ZS Exclusive at home (7kWh) from about 90 mile range. As expected, took 3 hours then went on for 2 hours at nominal charge (0.33 kWh), then 1 hour at 0.04 kWh. When I started the car this morning, it showed 199 miles range. It has always been 168, it’s published maximum. Parked...
Similar issue. However, my 2020 Exclusive used to charge to 100% then stop. (I have a QUBEV smart charger). The other day I tried the granny charger out. It didn’t work. Took it to my garage yesterday. They couldn’t fix it. AND the tech told me it wasn’t charging on their charger either...
Been following this and I think a paintnuts pen might solve my scratch across the central sensor on the rear bumper. (It still works.) However the order form is asking for my Paint Code. It’s recognised my car from the reg, but where do find my paint code?
