I’m finding that every few days the iPhone app has forgotten my login details and I have to login all over again. And there seems to be no “keep me logged in” option.
Even worse, when I log in it has reset itself to metric instead of imperial!
Does anyone have a solution to this?

ah! So this is why I never noticed it before. I've only ever really used rapid chargers.
So I wonder why they feel it necessary to make this happen only with a granny charger?
I’ve got the same problem. I’ve locked the car and the headlamps and rear lights are still lit. I’ve been charging with the granny charger all day (don’t know if that’s relevant). I can’t find any way of turning the lights off.

I almost never use my granny cable, but today I plugged in at a friend's house. It started off fine (though at the expected pathetic 2kW). But when I can back to it, it had stopped charging. Has anyone else had this? Could it have been dew formation causing a safety cut out or something?
yeah. I have the same problem. I am on an iPhone 12 and each time I open the app it says my 'token has expired' and I have to enter the bloody password again!

So did I understand correctly from the OP that the new version of the infotainment software will allow bluetooth Apple Play? If so, that would be well worth having as it's a pain having to constantly plug in a cable.
I just looked in my settings and I am on 1300R30 (and it's a 23 reg). I asked the dealer today and he said they don't upgrade routinely, only if they think a problem needs to be fixed and then MG advise them which upgrade to perform.
Definitely agree. I posted a complaint on the App Store too (there are loads of them now!). So presumably the developers saw them and decided they had to fix it!
