    UK 6 foot road restriction

Yes, I was just looking this up myself. I feel such a fool! 🙃. I’ve used that bridge hundreds of times and only just realised there’s another 6 in the measurement. Thanks to everyone for chipping in! I’m glad that’s sorted. 🤢

    UK 6 foot road restriction

Yes - 6’ wide. One of these is on Albert Bridge and some others in Wandsworth, for example.

    UK 6 foot road restriction

It is the 6’ width in London locations that affect me.

    UK 6 foot road restriction

Has anyone tried going through the 6’ road restriction in an MGS5? We have quite a few on a journey home. I have the ZS EV and that goes through fine.

    Scratches to door trim

Thanks Fred. I think I’ll given this a try and polish off with the matt trim gel.

    Scratches to door trim

I have scratched the plastic door trim on the inside of my rear passenger door. Does anyone know of any product that can fix this? It’s not a deep scratch but I can’t can’t get rid of it. All thoughts welcomed.

MG ZS EV trickle charge likely to catch fire?

I use the granny charger regularly, charging up to 8 hours at a time. I’ve done this for 3-4 years without a problem. I wouldn’t normally use that method of charging overnight or when I’m not in. I have a smoke detector by the socket. However my electric installation is quite new snd the...

    Reduced range in winter (merged)

Could this be a battery equalisation/balancing problem? Failure to rebalance the battery meant that my Mark 1 model lost some range, which I got back by equalising more frequently (I now have a LR and have never been below 250 miles at 100% in 7 months; last night before todays trip I got up...

    Reduced range in winter (merged)

I think they may be chargeable unless they are done as part of a service plan. I mentioned in an earlier reply a prior reference to long/cold weather range. Here is that link. It refers to an ZS EV SR but some of the ideas still apply...

    Reduced range in winter (merged)

A dealer should be able to establish this. I’m not sure how you can check it yourself. From things that I have read, battery degradation at your stage of ownership is either because the BMS needs updating or it hasn’t been balanced properly (ie charged to 100% and left to go off on its own...

    Reduced range in winter (merged)

Range depends on quite a few factors, speed and use of the AC to name but two. When I had a Gen1 model it did not have the new BMS update which reduced estimated mileage to 163, so the estimated range was around 178 in mild to good weather and down to around 155 in poor weather. One very...

    Bind issue

I do remember having to try several times to bind mine for some reason and I understood from some others that it wasn’t unusual to have to do that. There are quite a few videos on binding the MG ZS EV on YouTube, in case that helps to clarify the steps.

Ps. I just noticed MG also asked for the VIN number.
