    When I was referring to R40, I actually meant the 1100R40 (designed for the SE), which was released last month at the same time as R67. The previous versions were 1100R38 for the SE and 1300R65 for the Trophy, respectively.

    You can upgrade from R13 to R40, but the other ECUs in your friend’s car are likely outdated too. The car would need a comprehensive upgrade, not just the infotainment system.

    Yes it could be an issue with your USB stick / formatting, you should retry with another USB drive, preferably formatted with a PC.

    You can try: to format the USB drive in NTFS to downgrade to R38 and then upgrade back to R40
