The error seems to be related to your USB drive not being recognised as containing an update package for the MCU. Indeed, the latest MCU firmware (what is called here ECU) is not provided with R63 update package and needs to be installed through SIPS. SIPS is a windows software that connects to...

I’ve never come across the update failure issue… Could you post a few photos? With R67, the MCU should be updated to version 68.4.7.0 or later. That explains the problem with the slider, though it does not account for the other bugs you’re experiencing.

The planner is not a feature integrated within the navigation. It is a standalone app. So you have to open the planner, select your trip, and then, the route is sent to the navigation app with the charging stops as waypoints. From this moment on, it’s purely static. It will not select other...

The built-in planner is minimal. It basically selects charging stations along the route and sends their locations to the navigation module. So no arrival SoC estimate, no dynamic rerouting. Not a game changer.

It’s possible, but not exactly straightforward. Not everyone has a server at home, and developer IDs aren’t always available. Tesla is on another level (I also own a RWD Model 3), and ABRP is arguably the second best choice. But using it to its full potential demands more involvement than most...

I agree! Most people use AA or CP rather than the integrated navigation. The built-in maps on the MG4 are actually rather good (they’re based on Here maps), but the traffic data isn’t great. The real selling point would be to have an integrated planner that could display the expected arrival...

Not sure for 2024 versions… From my tests (on pre-2024 models), it depends on the FICM version. On all 1100 releases (including exotic ones), the zip file needed to be at root, whereas it needed to be in an “AVN_MPU” folder for 1300 releases.

In the Netherlands, all MG dealers are afaik owned by Van Mossel, so there’s no competition, which leads to higher prices. However, they should provide a fairly consistent experience. Better than what can be experienced in other countries!
