    MG5 12v Battery Replacement Cost?

I have an MG ZS EV Mk1 in Melbourne and the 12 v battery started playing up at around 12 months. It just seems to be on the way out with readings of around 12 volts. The dealer has checked it out and says it is ok but I doubt it will last once the weather gets colder. Makes sense to trickle...

My ZS is slowly falling apart...

The MG ZS EV Mk1 has a number of little things (like no cloth seats and no passenger electric seat adjustment and no forward sensors) which could have been attended to whilst omitting some expensive things like the sunroof. But mine has been reliable, enjoyable to drive and it enabled me to go...

    Home Storage Battery

I have a Powerwall 2 and when I charge the EV I reserve 100% on the Powerwall so I am not using it to charge the car and the car gets charged with solar and grid.

Hi, I have a ZS EV 72reg , thinking about fitting spacers on the wheels . Think it might look better, is it advisable?

Another thing to remember is that the MG is normally left hand drive and the right hand drive may not be quite as well designed. There have been some minor issues with the steering so I would not be pushing the envelope.

    Lane Assist System. Basic question

My lane keep assist works perfectly, nine times out of ten. But jokes aside, I have found it good where the lanes are clear - I have it on highest sensitivity. It makes driving on the open highway much more relaxing. I only use it on freeways or highways though. It does not seem to mess me about...

    Zs Cabin constantly steaming up

I would certainly check there is no moisture in the cabin. EVs do not have a hot engine helping to dry them. If nothing else works you may be able to buy one of those packets of crystals that you put in cupboards to keep them dry and put it in the boot. Additionally, always drive with the air...

    Losing charge overnight

Absolutum, obsoletum - if it works, it's out of date. (Dedication to Stafford Beer, Brain of the Firm 2nd ed.)

    Losing charge overnight

Fourteen months and I am obsolete.

    Losing charge overnight

I have had a short range MG ZS EV for about fourteen months. I only fully charge it about every month to balance the battery. I have a Zappi charger which charges it at 6.8 kW which effectively gives me 40 km range per hour charging. So I let the car get down to about 100 km range and charge it...

    Steering Problem

I use lane keep assist on my MG ZS EV and on open country roads I find it make it much easier to steer. I have it on the highest sensitivity and you should check yours is on the maximum sensitivity setting. I saw this on this site.

    Over charging

I am in Australia and work in km and I have a short range "original" MG ZS EV. The way I charge is to run the car down to about 100 km and charge it for two and a half hours on a Zappi 6.8 amp charger to bring it up to 200 km of its 265 km full charge. I have an Apple iPhone and just tell my...

    Pay per mile

Maybe. I think the best chance Australia has is the teal wave. These are high-profile independents who are concerned about climate warming. The Labor Party has a majority in the lower house this election but after the next election I expect a political party will have to have the support of the...

    Pay per mile

In Victoria, Australia, I am paying a $2.50 per 100 km road tax. This works out at more than what Toyota hybrid drivers getting 5 litres per 100 km are paying in petrol excise. Petrol excise per 100 km is 22 cents x 5 = $1.10; less than half what I am paying. On an energy consumption rate, I am...

    Home Storage Battery

People install solar panel/battery systems to 1 save money 2 give security and 3 save the environment. Different people have different priorities. Generally they are a great idea depending on where you live, what roof you have etc. But appreciate that even a MG ZS EV has a 42 kWh battery so you...
