Seems like that this youtuber has a delay with 1/4 mile times with almost every car (look at the the Ioniq 5N time also that managed a "slow" 11.56 on his review instead of 11.1-11.3 of every other review).
I think it's his gear, but the speedo movement and exit speed of the 1/4 mile are on par...
I will update with more results, all test have been performed in the same spot with the same method. No Launch control, with 83% I heard wheelspin 3 times under 50 km/h so the time could be improved choosing a better piece of tarmac... but anyway, you can see the performance variation under 30%.
20% → 0-100kmh = 62.5 mph → 4.55 sec
not the same car, incredible to say that a 4.5 sec car is slow ?
Anyway the car is way faster than normal traffic, and faster than the stats of the youtuber at -15 °C (here I have +30 °C) .
Also the relative difference between 30 and 20% is lower. Not bad...
Tomorrow I will test the 20% and the day after 10% on the same way in the same place (coming back home from work).
I'm discharging the battery till 5% (I read the manual and there's written to discharge under 10% at least every 6 months).
At the moment (30%) I can feel that the car is less...
I remember when in 2008 I saw the review of the Ferrari 430 scuderia doing 3.6 seconds and thinking... wow... I can only dream that kind of performances.... and now, 16 years later that acceleration comes in a 40k car ?
Sticky tires negatively affect range and high-speed acceleration.
Here in Italy, only 235 45 R18 are allowed on the vehicle registration document. I wouldn't go for wider tyres, the acceleration and handling are enough for my usage. Next set will be higher end but with an eye at the rolling...
It's better to film the speedo and time the video with a crono. Just play the video at 0.25x of speed so you can be more precise.
The speedo is on par with GPS. Take the time from 1 to 100 (=62 mph).
I managed 4.0 sec at 65% charge. Sport ESC ON.
