Hello, Of course it is possible to have the Dashcam wake-up and shut-down with the car. Here is where you'll find the switched 12V and the permanent too:

    Issue with charging flap

I had this issue once, when it was freezing outside. I was able to open it after having heated it with a hair dryer. The water repellent effect of something like silicone grease could certainly help avoiding this problem. If you cannot open it, there is a small trap inside the boot, just behind...

    Apple carplay?

Be aware that most of these Bluetooth wireless modules have operating issues. Some of them are too slow, others are freezing the screen or losing the connection and then you have a black screen etc... It is not easy to find a "good" one. 🙃

Any idea why a Tesla slow charger maxes out at 3kW?

I also think that it should be the cable that is limited to 11kW.

    Two tone roof

I fully agree, wrapping is the best idea, the less invasive and probably also the cheaper.

    OBD Data

Hi all, I am using the vLinker MC+ OBD II dongle, as it is between the ABRP recommended ones. It is permanently connected to the car since months and I never had any 12V battery issues so far.

    Trophy/luxury or xpower

Personally, I would say the Trophy/Luxury has enough power to drive dynamically. What is important to me overall is efficiency rather extreme power. Because of all the regulations, that power is rarely usable on the day to day, while the "efficiency" is enjoyable everyday.

    Dashcam install

Hi, The way that I routed the dashcam wires didn't reached any airbag sensitive area. It was passed just behind superficial plastic trim. I have seen installation instructions where people were removing that plastic trim all around, etc, but this is absolutely not necessary. Only a little lift...

    Dashcam install

Hi, My car is a luxury edition, but I don't think that the fuse box and the rooting of the wires must be so different from the XPower. Anyway, it this can help you, here how I did it in order to power the dashcam from the cabin fuse box: Routing the wire between the windscreen and the roof trim...

    Recommended Extension Lead

Hi, normally using extension cables with the granny charger is not recommended. In case that you do not mind about this recommendation, you should use one with a section of wires of 2.5mm², so you can be sure that it will afford the current that the charger demands.

    Dashcam install

Hi, the fuses that I used are micro 3 for the switched 12V, like these ones if you need to connect to permanent 12V, then you'll need the micro 2 also. I attached 2 pictures for the location of the fuse box, as usually there are taken from too close to see where it is for new users. My car is an...

For the day to day it is better to charge at maximum 80%. Once per month or so, you should go to 100% to balance the battery.

    MG4 towbar warranty

I am waiting for my towbar to come to my official MG dealer. I have ordered it at the same time with the car. It is one set that is "accepted" by MG over here, so the dealer told me that this doesn't affect the warranty. I think that this is an internal arrangement between MG and the dealer...
