EU MG4 (all variants) - Service campaign SC077 is out, improving lane assist performance

I had the SC077 update done last week and tested the car during two days for a bit more than 300kms. I now can say that I have the impression to drive a new car (y)😇:) No more "pre-flight" check, just jump in and drive... LKA is now gentle like it had to bee. There is still some work to have...

    Car ignoring 80% charge limit

It is probably a software update question. and I need to convince the dealer to do it. Apparently, they are not paid by MG when they do software updates, so they are not very willing to do them

    Car ignoring 80% charge limit

Hello everyone, Since a few months and after a software update, this issue appeared also on my MG4 Luxury. No matter where I set the limit, at 80% or at any other step (50%, 60%, ...), the car simply doesn't takes this into account and charges every time up to 100%. This is very annoying. I...

Hello to everyone. And this is the article to which Robert Llewelyn is making reference to, in his video.

Was your consumption affected with all weather/season tires?

I used winter tires during last winter and I didn't notice any difference on my MG4 Luxury.

    Debadge MG4?

Pay attention on debadging: the badge is so well glued, that you'll have to destroy it to take it off. Even by heating it, it will be damaged when you pull it. I removed mine and finally I replaced it by a new one, that I painted in black before. This because I do not like the plastic black...

    Charging pin melt

In my opinion, this seems to be due to a poor quality charging cable

    MG4 Frunk now available

Very nice, especially when it is brand new like that :) After a while, dust gets in there, and some cleaning is "required" ?

Transporting e-bike over 50 kg on the tow bar

Indeed, removing the saddles will not make significant weight win and sometimes because of all these cables it is not easy to do. I am thinking about finding a way to reinforce somehow the assembly to relieve the whole weight from being on the tow bar.

Transporting e-bike over 50 kg on the tow bar

Yes, I could win some weight by removing the front wheels, but the bikes are attached standing on the wheels. This is something that I need to check. The saddles do not have a quick release unfortunately.

Transporting e-bike over 50 kg on the tow bar

Thank you for your answers. The Thule of course can handle the 2 e-bikes, I already carried them on a previous car. Putting one e-bike inside the car can be an option, I need to test if there is room enough. On the roof I would like to avoid, as it seems more tricky and will also generate a lot...

Transporting e-bike over 50 kg on the tow bar

Hello everyone, I have a tow bar on my MG4 Luxury and I would like to find a way to transport 2 x e-bikes that weight each 23 kg. I am aware about the 50 kg on vertical load limitation, on the tow bar. In my case, the Thule bike holder weights 20 kg, so in total I'll have (2 x 23 kg) + 20 kg =...

    Carlinkit

In order to be able to connect to the Carlinkit, it need to be in a different status, that how it is when connected to the car. So you need to power it with an external power supply (i.e. a 5V charger) and then you'll see its WiFi SSID and be able to connect to it using the IP.
