And also note that R46 is only for the Trophy.

G.M to make all their E.Vs bidirectional

Any MG4 can already do that by using a V2L adaptor and the granny charger.

    MG4 Air-con & Under tray update

Looking at pictures of the Mahle unit, the noise I hear on that video seems far too thin to be coming from the actual AC pump.

Anyone can purchase on the Affinity Scheme

https://www.mgmotoraffinity.co.uk/ Enter your details and select MG owners club for qualifying and explore the discounts I believe you can not have 0% PCP and Affinity at the same time. Bit like most offers, you can’t stack them.

    Misting up

Climate control is a system where you can enter a target temperature for the system to maintain. Air Conditioning will just have a warm/cold dial with no temperature markings. In effect you can just select the amount of heating or cooling, not a target temp.

MG4 EV (air con / fan problem) noise

It sounds very much like a fan noise to me as well. It is perfectly possible that the aircon unit has its own fan in addition to the heating fan. I would also assume that the electric motor driving the aircon pump has a fan. I collect my car on Tuesday. I will be interested in if it makes a...

    Insuring a new car

I'm insured with Churchill. They have happily insured my Trophy that I will be collecting next week. I have the Reg, but it's not on the database and I don't expect it will be until late next week. No issue at all, just select the car details from the dropdown boxes. I can't understand why your...

Phase 1 vs Phase 2 - same cost which would you have?

Richmond MG in Portsmouth have about 30 Phase 2 cars in their compound. I collect mine on Tuesday. Absolutely no reason to take a phase 1 car unless there is at least £1k off the Affinity price.

Spoiler on the MG4 EV Trophy

Lamborghini Countach LP400 Years: 1974 – 1978. Units: 157. Engine: 4L Nat Aspirated V12. Power: 325 bhp @ 7,500 rpm. Torque: 260 ft lbs @ 5,500 rpm. 0-60 mph: 5.9 seconds. It's frightening how automotive technology has moved on. The MG4 Trophy ER is only 0.2 seconds slower and the...

    Water in boot lid

Cars, especially electric cars, are designed to withstand water ingress. It is highly unlikely that it will have done any damage. I would remove everything from the area and dry it out. The most common areas for water leaks in that area are damaged or incorrectly fitted boot seals or rear light...

Advice about buying a charging cable

I collect my Trophy on Tuesday and having bought on the Affinity scheme, it is supplied with both cables. I specifically queried what the type 2 cable was and the salesman checked on the system as he was ordering it and assures me that it is a 32amp 3 phase cable. I will report back after...

Running out of (HV) battery in an EV

I have a 1955 VW Splitscreen Pickup Truck. A fuel gauge was not even an option when it was built. It has an integrated 1 gallon reserve in the tank. Not dissimilar to the MG 🙂

    MG4 Software Update Thread

I keep seeing this being said about MG. Are people not aware that this is how the motor industry works. All Main Dealers, irrespective of brand (excluding Tesla) are franchises. Dealers being franchise operators is not the issue. A lack of training and support from the manufacturer is, coupled...
