Battery monitor

By fitting one of these devices would it potentially drain the 12v battery over time if the vehicle is not used for a long period of time I’m thinking of putting one on my MG5 trophy

My car was in last week for this the dealers told me they couldn't find anything wrong with car etc but told my they did some reflashing/reinstalling etc with the software i don't understand all this software stuff my car was all OK until about the time it went in for first service september...

I put it back together a month or so ago when it came off but while waiting for them to look at it the pipe came off again when I picked the car up I ad a quick look to see what ad been done to solve the problem that’s it just put back together again forgot to take new picture of what they ad...

Went to dealership after nearly a 4 week wait for washer pipe sorting out because I was to that they ad to do a repair/fix etc to keep up the warranty all that was done was to push the pipe back together again I’m expecting it to come apart again time will tell.

I bought a new MG5 in November 2024 from Luscombe leeds and bought a 3 year service plan with a m-o-t at 3 years for £352

This is the response today from the I-smart team after getting in touch with them and giving them loads of info about the car type app type phone type etc which they requested still have the same troubles no matter were it’s parked what a waste of time it’s all been car is in dealers on...

I was told by the MG dealer when mine was changed that they ad to take a grinder to them and then scrapped and under no circumstances should they go back on another car.

Did you notice what they used cable ties or clips to secure the water pipe? Just curious to see what they’ll use on mine for a repair.

Just been told by MG Dealers in leeds to leave the issue for them to sort out under warranty and not to have a go at a repair myself so it’s booked in 3 weeks time

Did they say it was linked to the water from the washers pipe failing.

I was going to do a repair myself with some spring clips that I’ve ordered but I’m thinking of going down the warranty route so they can’t say that my repair as caused any potential bigger problems.

Ad this happen to me today pipe came off anyone got any ideas of what to use instead of cable ties also the OD diameter of the pipe or what do MG use to fix the problem thanks for any help.
