There’s an article in WhatCar about a failed OTA update for a BYD Sea Lion. Maybe an isolated incident……..but weren’t there lots of stories of dealers bricking MG4s shortly after launch...

OTA will need to be very reliable before I try it. Imagine bricking the car on your drive and having to be recovered to a dealer who might not have availability for days / weeks. If the dealer bricks it they are better equipped to sort it and have an incentive to do it quickly to free up...

Sadly it took a couple of years for me to be able to use the Bluetooth key. I think all the planets have to be perfectly aligned for it to work ie car software, iSmart version and phone version. I would never rely on it for day to day use

Fully agree. The point I was making was that the app warned of a parking fee yet the website did not.

And beware of charging at Tesla Heathrow. The Tesla app warns of a parking charge of £6.50 for the first hour (which then increases). Yet the Tesla website /find a supercharger makes no mention of the parking fee
