My S5 goes fast as a rocket,
And it's also most kind to my pocket,
But its software is crap,
There's no question of that,
Sometimes I just have to say "Fock it"
Has SAIC/MG officially acknowledged there is a problem yet ? If not, then it's pjss poor customer support (irrespective of Chinese New Year). I've seen nothing other than what's on here.
In the good days, the only concern was whether or not my car would start on a cold morning, or how long to leave the choke pulled before the engine flooded. Nowadays, there's no problem starting the car but the concern is about what software functions might be sub-optimal on this trip - that's...
Happened to me about 10.45 this morning. Everything fine on the way to the supermarket. But when I finished shopping and went to drive home the screen was blank and i couldn't turn on the radio. Screen turned on after couple minutes but couldn't select anything. Not even reversing camera. Still...
I've got mine switched off, along with most of the other 'optional nicities'. But I find when I set off in the dark occassionally the lights start off on main beam, which I sometimes don't notice until i get flashed a couple of times.
Last couple of days spent driving grandkids to and from school. Often sat parked up for 15 mins a day waiting for them with the heater on 20 degrees. Gauge seems stuck at 2m/kwh, but never falls below. I wonder if 2m/kwh is as low as it goes. Has anyone registered less than 2?
I accidentally reset mine last week so can't submit a report for December. However I did a 90 mile trip today starting off at -2.6C and smattering of snow. Temp went up to +2 when I reached home and I managed 3.4 m/kwh which i wasn't displeased with.
Interesting reply. I'm sure in my test the charge didn't start until I locked the door. I wonder if CCS and type 2 systems gave different requirements.
There are both types of charger at the local pub so I might have to venture out for a quick christmas eve half tomorrow.
OK, to some of you wise old owls this post may appear as a little 'basic', and bits and pieces have been discussed recently elsewhere so I may be in threat of duplication, but can we please develop some sort some sort of a Public Charging Routine for newbies specific to the S5 and pin it...
