If you dont drive like an idiot it is fine, an MG5 is not the sort of car to be pushing the performance envelope of any tyre regardless of age or quality. Tyre fitters of course push the full set mentality because it makes them money!

We have a PFL LR and I find charge speeds to vary a lot with different chargers. Ionity seem to fly, other hit and miss. We recently fitted Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2 to the front of ours PFL, they are superb.

What structural changes did MG make to MG5 chassis over than of the ICE versions? Probably not a lot in terms of crash protection.

Just replaced the last original tyre on my PFL which was a rear (the other had suffered an unrepairable puncture). The inside was worn, the rest of the tyre had loads of life. Approx 40k miles at that point and 99% with light loads. Its probably just the way they have set op the geometry.

They are a pain, can depend on the lead, wear and tear in the USB socket etc. The simple answer is an USB stick dongle to make it wireless.

All the Zappi does is offer a charge to the car, it does not know if the car is full of not. The car has to accept the charge for it to charge.

The heater isnt very good, I personally dont use auto and set to 24 ish to get it warm, then down to 20-22 once warm.

I used some Thule bars that I have used on 2 previous cars, they continue to give good service despite being nearly 10 years old.

My 3 year old PFL just flew through its first MOT (unlike my father in laws 3 year old ICE car). These cars are built to last, just use common sense.

Get a late LR pre-facelift, it has many of the improvements of the FL but proper buttons for things like heaters, heated seat. It has AEB but seem to remember it only works under 35 mph.

I think I'm just going to keep using mine until it goes pop, should be good for at least another 8 more years at my current use. Probably a lot more.
