Complained that the lane keep assist is getting worse, the dealer said there is a new update to turn it off fully. Took it in and got R59, previously was on R33 this is with a 2022 launch day Trophy. So nice that still getting the bug fixes.

Did a 900mile round trip from Scotland to Wiltshire and pooteld around for a week, used various networks including gridserve. Can't say I really had any problems, Gridserve was notably for how reliable it was actually. Whenever was using Motorway I never felt the urge to leave to find a charger...

They don't auto close if it rains, they open and close based purely on temperature demands. So with that in mind they will be safe to have open when it is raining.

Noticed that to, lead with a story stating car fires and use an EV for heading picture. Also reading down the article it does not explicitly state EVs are not impacted. Sure we all know they don't have oil pumps but the lay person may not.

Fair enough, I was thinking more if was forced to rapid chargers all the time wasn't worth it. 79p/kWh Vs 4.5p/kWh has been my experience but I guess even if had to pay 35p/kWh would still be good.

Some cars have a higher depreciation value whole others have lower than average. Not sure the point really. If you want new then that is the price you pay. We bought our MG4 last year because it was the most sensible option at the time for us personally. Low term value was not part of that...

We are on a night tariff of 4.5p/kWh and day time 54p/kWh. Which might sound insane day but we have solar panels and battery storage. So full the batteries at 4.5p/kWh and the EV at night. So basically never use the day rate. If the government was at all serious they would make batteries cheaper...

Thing I have noticed is my range has gone up in the warm weather, however the stated miles per kWh hasn't really changed. Most of the time it is stating 3.6. But there is no way doing that, when check the graph in energy consumption states average 5 mi/kWh which makes more sense. Anyone else...

Falkirk here also with a zappi. But with 5kw solar system. What I always find amazing is how much power can get here in Scotland. If this is what you can get up here don't know why don't get more people with solar down south. EV + solar is probably best thing ever bought. Also just to help...

Was thinking about this the other day, my only gripe is the software (which can be updated). The hardware side is actually very good. It handles well, is easy to use and the 'car' bits can't find fault on my first batch Trophy. Which is why the software issues are so annoying.

Had the enable message pop up this morning and said ok, drove off as normal and got to work. Because PHEVs were taking up the work spots I couldn't charge to till a few hours later. By then the car was at ambient and when I plugged in it gave an error about over heating and refused to charge...

Really wanted to like the Cat, and at the start of 2022 was super interested. But after delay and price annocment it was pretty dead to me. Back in 2021 everyone was talking about 200+ miles at £25k and sounded good. Especially as it looked different. But the MG4 got there first for value...
