One extra thing that hasn't been mentioned is that during the service they'll check for any software updates. Non MG garages wont be able to do that.

I guess there will always be a fee involved somewhere, they're not going to do things for free. On my 5 year plan I think it was approx £100 more than the individual costs but I still believe £240 a year for a service, MOT and full breakdown cover is good value.

The plan is linked to MG, if a dealer closes you just switch the plan to another dealer

Also bear in mind that by getting the services done at an MG garage it automatically extends the free full AA Breakdown cover (MG Assist) which currently costs £148 per year. That's £740 over 5 years! My previous breakdown cover, with everything included, was £100 a year so that's £500 saved...
