Ah, OK. I suppose it might simply be a different tyre with the same model name. Otherwise, I can't imagine Continental would go to the trouble of developing an inferior tyre just for the Chinese market, or save the better rubber/tread pattern for the Euro models. I believe they do have a few...

Not arguing with this theory specifically, but do we have any data to confirm this? I had EcoContact 6's on my German made Focus, and they were just as poor in the wet as the ones on the MG4*. *I am assuming the EcoContacts were European made, but I could be wrong.

Bike tyres? Looks a bit "rubbery" when you enlarge the photo. Were all of the marks at the same height?

The matt finish is a clear coat of sorts. Do NOT attempt to polish it, as you will take away the textured finish that creates the matt effect.

You'd be doing well to achieve that in the city. No chance on free/highways unless, as Decrep says, you're going downhill.

To complete the anecdote, my most recent charge to 100% showed only 413km expected range with A/C on and NORMAL mode (about 15km down from the previous full tank). I noticed up to 29 kWh usage in the first couple of kilometres travelled, before it started to drop down to expected levels.

There is a business down the road from my work that has an "EV Only" section of parking. It tends to be filled with Toyota HEVs and Mitsubishi PHEVs.:LOL:

How do you attach them? There's something on the DOT website about voiding the plate warranty if you damage it, but I presume you can't just double sided tape the tag as that isn"t "securely enough".
