It was only recently that someone asked me what mileage I had done in the car. I'm ashamed to say that I hadn't a clue how to find out so I then looked for a screen that would tell me. Anyhow, once I found it, I left the screen on the current jourmey setting recently just to see how far one of...
First time I started the app yesterday after a week or two and was faced with updated app. Managed to login but it is not connecting to the car "remote control instruction failed". Also reports "unable to get vehicle's GPS". It seems to have all my profile data etc., so it knows its me and knows...
My Zappi was installed by Octopus and charge rate rises quickly to 7.2KW within a minute or two. ZS EV LR, 5m 32amp single phase cable. I find it hard to believe that some cars would limit the charge rate to less than 7kW. Thats pretty low. With CCS cable the ZS is capable of charging at 50kW...
Many thanks for that. I really appreciate the responses and advice I get from this forum. I have never been sure if it is OK to use a battery charger for the 12v on an EV. I have a CTEK charger that I used for my petrol car so can just use that I guess. I'm also guessing that things like the...
Thanks for clarification. It seems that the "intelligence" doesn't help to ensure the car will start (which would be really handy) per the claim in the manual so a bit disappointing really. Getting a bit nervous of leaving the car for any length of time now :(
If I'm reading what N2STY says correctly then the 12v battery is never going to charge if the car is off. However I am convinced mine was at 12.9% when I left the car a couple of days ago and it registered 14.5v when I started it yesterday so I'm with you - I would really, really like a...
I have to say that the reports of low 12v battery issues have worried me so I hope that we can trust what your service centre says about intelligent charging keeping it topped up. I find the manual less re-assuring. To quote:
"The 12v battery SOC is constantly monitored, when the Start/Stop...
Yes it displays the de-restriction sign OK but, as Gadget Geek says, flashes constantly if I go over 60, then disappears altogether if I indicate and change lane. Already decided it will be permanently off now :). Thanks for all the responses.
Totally accept the concept of national speed limit but other cars do understand that there are roads with higher speed limits whatever you want to call it and I have been used to using such a feature when it worked on those! Shame as it clearly has all the information it needs for a software mod...
Apologies, for a long post and I know that there have been discussions about this in previous threads but I have to vent a bit and see whether anybody thinks the speed limit recognition system on the ZS is in any way acceptable. Make no mistake, I love the car but the system in my new ZS EV is...
I totally agree that it would be helpful for reviewers to tell us more about the potentially annoying things. Much as I love the car, I have some gripes of my own that I will post elsewhere. Some apparently "hi-tech" features are much less useful if they are poorly implemented. A lot of these...
Thanks for the welcome. Yes my first EV and, despite some minor gripes with a few specific features of the car I am really enjoying it. I look forward to being a more active member in the forum.
