Hi all

Quick question, I think my Econ button is not working. When I press it nothing changes, it doesn't light up nothing, I've tried it in all modes and even watched the amps being pulled nothing.
Anyone experience the same thing?

Nope, I can turn on economy mode on the button or choose eco mode on the flapper and the button lights up.

Never really pressed it so went out to check.
In ready mode, normal mode, ac on pressed it, it lit up pressed again it went off, same in eco mode

Does it make any difference if AUTO climate is on or off ?

Nope. Just popped out and tried it. Lights up regardless of status of Auto mode or A/C on or off.

Cranked the temp right up though and then hit the Econ button but I can't say I saw any difference in amps consumed.
Nowt on the display to say that ECON is on either, so it's either the button not working or the light not working for you by the sound of it and no real way of seeing which it is...

Hi all

Update. I have tried it in the dark and I can see the Econ button change colour, I'm assuming orange is engaged. I guess we have only had nice bright days since I got the car and have not driven it at night with the air con on. So mystery solved. It does beg the bigger question that if I can't feel any difference and the power draw doesn't change what does it actually do?

Oh - and full confession - I actually went back out to check that last night as I could have sworn they were green...

Mine is exactly the same. I wondered if it was working and noticed that if I cup my hands around the button I can just see a very faint orange light come on. Obviously an issue with the light not being as bright as it should be. Can't really feel a difference though!

if it helps the way i can tell a difference: on a hot day have the car running and put AC on, auto on and econ off and set temp fairly low say 17c. the fans should ramp up to max.
if you then press Econ i can hear and feel the fans ramp down (slightly).

its not a massive difference but it does seem to impact the battery usage.

i tend to use Econ on most of the time (whenever i remember to turn it on or car into Eco mode!) - why oh why cant it just remember our settings ;-)

Thanks. Am I right in thinking that the AC automatically goes into ECON mode when the drive mode is switched to ECO?
