Facelift MG5 goes on sale

Is it a significantly better car though ?

It is facelifted, looks nicer to most (not all)
It has some LED lights the old one didn't have.
It has a better infotainment system
It has an App.
It has V2L (a nice have IMO)
and apparently you can tow your grass clippings to the tip.

Under the skin it is the same car though, an ICE converted to EV, just with added/updated bits over the current version, none of which make it worth the cost for me personally to 'upgrade'.

I am sure others may disagree., and yes if money were no object I'd take the upgrade, but there again if money were no object I probably wouldn't be buying an MG.

And yes I do really like my car.
 
A change will cost £10K more than I paid for my MG5 SR Exclusive! While some of the changes are very good they are not £10ks worth. Also I note that the new model replacing mine now has 17 inch low profile wheels which will not improve the ride and in this part of the world low profile tyres are vulnerable to bursting ( previous vehicles I had 3 tyres go in 2 days!).

I will stick to the 215 mile range

I think it just shows what exceptional value the car was at the time.
 
I'll be sticking with my 5 LR Exclusive. There are a few nice improvements but not worth an extra £9k on top of what I paid back in March. Off topic but just had a quote for my MG5 from Cazoo for £1750 above what I paid for it new 😲. Resale values still on the up. Strange times.
