Perrys Aylesbury have confirmed my LR Trophy is at Portbury Docks awaiting transport to the dealership, might actually have it in a couple of weeks….

Been following this thread for months, particularly just for delivery updates as I've found this forum very useful and informative.
Ordered my MG ZS Exclusive 1.5 Battersea Blue (yes I know this is a EV forum.)
On 4th February 2022. Dealer emailed today, my car is there, its being picked up Saturday 30th July.

. Original ETA of order was End of May beginning of June. Then pushed back to August 20th. 2 weeks ago a phone call to them they said looking more likely September.

I dealt with them, they were on the money in terms of expected delivery once it arrived at the docks.

I took delivery of a SE Long Range model yesterday from Elmo Drive which I am using to tide me over until my November Trophy LR Vanarama order is ready.

In the glove box there is a "Complete Vehicles Certificate of Conformity". This has the following dates on it, assuming the format is mm/dd/yyyy, as dd/mm/yyyy does not work with some of the given dates, for example 04/10/2022 (as we're not yet there), so must be an April date.

Date of Manufacture: 1st April 2022
Date Certificate Signed: 10th April 2022
Date Elmo advertised the car and allocated me the registration number: 29th June 2022
PDI Report (from Supplying Dealer): 6th July 2022
Date Elmo delivered (Delay may have been due to them installing their own telematics): 25th July.

I seem to recall some earlier post about build dates on documents in glove compartments suggesting the car(s) had been built months before delivery. I wonder if those posts were interpreting the date format as dd/mm/yyyy instead of mm/dd/yyyy.

So 3 months from being built to PDI

White TCLR ordered 14th Dec built 6 weeks ago, sat on quayside for awhile but now on its way for early September delivery.

Update from vanarama, the pigeon they sent to MG turned out to be a regular eat, crap and sleep pigeon and not a messenger pigeon. Been weeks on end trying to find a way to get any updates for us but unfortunately its either dead or lost

Doesn't surprise me at all. The line they were feeding people about 'a management call with MG' was garbage. There was only ever going to be one response from MG - unless the thing is built and on the way, it's TBA.

No idea what they expect from us. Are they running through the factory chasing our cars

no one writes letters now a days and waits weeks on end for update. How hard is it to get in touch and update us. Jan 2023 may be

Hopefully soon, mine went from TBA to At Sea overnight it seemed, who knows what they're doing over there!

I also ordered from Perry's Aylesbury (16th Dec, I think... It was so long ago!)
I've been told it should be ready for collection on 3rd Oct

I think if people that ordered late last year from other lease companies such as Tusker etc. start getting cars soon and Vanarama don't, I'd be bailing out if I was a Vanarama customer.

Don’t think I’ll bail out, apart from the fact some of us have had a free charger fitted, some have got really cheap deals (unfortunately I didn’t) which you won’t get anywhere near now if you want to lease. Also getting it from anywhere else will take longer if you cancel and start again. People leasing with vanarama are possibly only looking at leasing.

even my deal which isn’t anywhere near as cheap as others have is about £60pm cheaper than the equivalent deal now and that wouldn’t have the sunroof.

I have looked at other cars, particularly the Niro EV 3, staying with vanarama so I wouldn’t have to pay the charger cost and it’s about £100pm more expensive over 5 years as opposed to the 3 years I have leased the mg for. I don’t really want to pay over £30k to lease a car that costs £39k

That is the only reason i am hanging on. Only other option would be to go back to ICE cars but really dont want to do this. Always preferred an Enyaq but that in similar trim to MG was 180 more per month. I would rather not

Yeah I liked the enyaq until I realised it didn’t have much equipment and I’d have to spend a fortune adding packs

I went for the MG as it was the most affordable, practical car with decent spec, if money was less of an object I would have went for something else. The delays to be honest haven’t bothered me yet although my current car goes back in a couple of weeks. I thought when I ordered this in January I would have a large termination penalty as the car was meant to be here in May but thankfully that’s not the case that’s to MG!

We had to look at every option, but nothing compared to the spec that the MG came with.. even if not perfect it has plenty of tech that other "premium" brands want to charge extra for.

Especially eye-watering when we're needing to buy two, all of a sudden costs jump by anything from £10k upwards for an alternative with inferior equipment, so I'm pretending I haven't ordered it and will be surprised when I get the phone call.

Late January order so I'm hoping it does come before November, means I have to spend a fortune on a service for the current car though! :-(

I'm still waiting for my TC LR ordered December 21......not a word from my dealer..!!
