MG4 - First UK dealer hands on photos and specifications

Will the MG4 do regenerative braking "all the time" and not like the ZS EV, where it will use the friction brakes to keep distance when on ACC ?

MG don't do options, just specs, so if it's not there, it isn't there.
Looking at this picture it looks like there will be models that do have this. Let's hope The Netherlands will get the Luxury model that includes this.

It has been said somewhere the pano roof will be only fitted to the AWD performance version to come next year I believe also that car will be the green one shown in the picture above as posted by buzz buzz #124

Thanks for the info. I have spotted a post suggesting that the 'Mulan' has 1500kg towing capacity. Was there any info given on towing capacity? (if not are you able to find out?)

Shame about the lack of rear wiper. I had a Passat once that was missing a rear wiper (intentionally). Worked fine going forwards, not helpful if you have to reverse in the rain though!
Shame about no rear wiper as my previous Prius plug-in rear window for filthy very quickly, so too my friends Ioniq 5 :(

It’s no big deal really, just knocks more off the sticker price if the car actually turns up!
It is a big deal if it turns out to be a 9 month plus wait like the ZS LR. Cash in their bank free of interest to use while be sit waiting.... Lol

May I asked what dealerships you placed these deposits with?
I know my friend has put a deposit down with both Luscombe and Chorley lol. Not sure if that was mad or genius in a race to get his hands on 1 with whoever fullfils the order/stock of an MG4 first...

Surely his name is on the system twice and that wouldn't be allowed? Or shouldn't be.

So from what I can see these are the extras you get with the trophy for an extra 3k... I have put them in order or what i think is important to me. Some of them are minor changes compared to the SE such as the Front and rear windows with one touch technology... the SE has that one touch on the drivers side only.... personally I think I'd prefer to be in control of one touch rather than my child in the back for safety reasons, so some at the bottom I'm either not bothered or could do without, ones at the top are the reasons I'd go for the Trophy. What's your thoughts? Its a quick list so its not 100% in order but pretty much for my preferences.

If your hard limit it £30k for the trophy LR, don't bother with a deposit. It's over that, but not massively.
I was going to pay £30495 for a MG5, ES even if the MG4 Trophy LR is around this point it’s astonishing value, I’m as pleased as punch with ordering a MG4 ES at £25,995.

Compared to some of the costs legacy automakers charge for additional features I think that’s relatively decent value for £3k.

Adjustable boot, auto dimming mirror, heated seats, privacy glass, 360 parking camera, electric adjustment for driver seat, 6 speaker audio system are really strong additions.

Well if everyone placed an order with every MG dealerships and then took the first one available and cancelled the rest it would be a complete mess wouldn't it. Surely you should be asked if you genuinely want two cars and why have you placed them in different dealerships... clearly no intention to buy two. Its a bit like booking 10 tables at a restaurant so when you get there you just pick the best one and cancel the rest. That's called selfish

Perhaps if the MG ordering system was less opaque then this wouldn't happen. ☹️
At present there's no way to know what these "reservations" mean, and how they will be transferred into orders let alone actually delivered.😕
Take a hypothetical scenario, in which there's only one model, spec and option. Dealer A takes 99 orders before you place yours. But then another person places an order at Dealer B which is their first order but brings the total to 101 orders. MG brings only 100 vehicles into the country, who gets their order fulfilled? Dealer A took the 100th reservation first, so would you get the car? Or does MG share the cars equally between the dealers meaning that Dealer B gets one to fulfill the order for the other person despite them ordering later?
There are lots of other scenarios involving the transfer of "reservations" from the dealers lists onto the MG systems. For example Dealer C takes their reservations last as a fleet order of 100 cars, but their admin is more efficient and works (say at midnight when the MG computer ordering system finally opens) and transfers all of their orders first meaning that neither Dealer A or B gets any.
It's not a matter of which system prevails, it's the lack of clarity and visibility that's the issue. Ultimately from the Vanarama ZS debacle you can see that customers are unclear on where they stand and some customers who ordered later appear to have received their orders first.
