I came across this whilst searching for something completely different!
Not something most of us is likely to be doing but very interesting all the same.
The presenter hasn't done a very good risk assessment so don't assume his safety precautions are anywhere near adequate.

The only problem working on BEV batteries is they're very heavy.

Thanks for sharing!

I was a little disappointed that he didn't open one of the 18 modules (must contain 6 cells, 18 x 6 = 108 cells total). It looks like at least some of the module cases are actually metal!

I don't get why every second module is painted a different colour.

It's a little scary that there is no mid pack disconnect. And at 450 V, the pack is at the upper end of the sub-800 V pack voltages.

Edit: Also, where he said was the half-way point in the pack (bottom right in the "from above" view) was actually 2/3 through the pack, hence the ~285 V reading. Half way is actually at the bottom left of the "from above" view, at the far end from the connector and BMS. "Close enough" he said !

Is this the guy who has bought two accident damaged ZS EV's and is effectively making one good car out two ??.
If so, I have been watching his progress - interesting !.

It looked undamaged? So why's he set about it?

Not really just nickking parts from one to fix the other the old cut and shut was 2 halfs weld together that said you can cut out a corner and weld together best practice is to pick a existing seam
