In most of the reviews, both of the 5 and now the new 4, there is always a disappointed comment that the car is not a complete one pedal drive, however, I am sure that there is creep built in on purpose, as there is in all ICE autos. I like this 'feature' and would not like the car to come to a complete halt when not on the accelerator.

What do others think?

Do other EVs actually come to a halt on full regen. then or are they like the 5 with ‘creep’ of around 5 - 6 mph built in?

I must get out more and organise a few test drives of other makes.

The Leaf does, but I don't know which, if any others do. To be honest I don't find it to hard to press the brake pedal to actually stop and find the creep useful as I can slow down with regen and then slowly creep to the end of the queue.

Managed to do that coming down a slip road today and just as I got near the lights they changed so I just accelerated away

I'm glad to have the brake pedal as you never know when you need to hit the stop pedal quickly because a child runs out in to the road so just one pedal not a god idea to me

Having to use the brake pedal should reduce disc corrosion and brake cylinder seizing.
Not so sure about that, no doubt someone will be along soon who can explain better but as long as there is any degree of KERS going on the actual friction braking only plays a minor part. In my previous car the unofficial recommendation was to knock in it into "neutral" before braking hard, ideally down a long hill, to de-rust and generally clean up the brakes. ISTR there are reasons why this isn't a great practice though.

"one pedal" driving is a very specific change to the function of the accelerator. In normal mode it defines how much power the motor should apply to the wheels, in one pedal mode it defines how fast do you want to go. Therefore fully off pedal indicates maximum deceleration down to zero mph

There is little difference how the MG5 behaves to the LEAF in normal mode but e-pedal is completely different to KERS3. e-pedal takes a little getting used to but is brilliant with city driving but as soon as the roads opened up it became a pain and was soon turned off.
