Can I ask about how you get on with lane assist?
I find that the car wants to over correct when I come close to the line and unless I have a firm grip of the wheel it could almost whip it out of my hand.
I guess some people have switched it off straight away but I want to try and get on with it and hope it improves with OTA updates.

I switched it off within 10mins of picking my TCLR. Have been meaning to see if there are levels of fierceness that can be selected. Overall not a feature I bought the car for.

The Mk1 LKA was excellent. However on the Mk2, I notice that it is called emergency lane keeping and that is what it is - it pulls you hard back into line if you wander near to a edge line.

The lane keeping with MG Pilot is great, just like the MK1 lane keeping.

So how do you get good lane keeping on the MK2 without the ACC? Easy, just turn on MG pilot then set the ACC speed to about 20MPH slower than you intend to go. You can then control the speed using the accelerator with good LKA. The only problem is that you are now in coast mode when you take your foot off the accelerator, i.e. in regen 0 mode.

This is a good trick, I will try it out later today.

The LKA has beaten me into having better road position and more awareness of when I stray towards a line... can it be jerky when I don't want it to? Yes, but that is because it cannot see the whole picture nor my intentions... It's a pretty decent system and I haven't come across a flawless one yet.

I have never had this on previous cars. How do you find it on narrow city roads? or does it only work at certain speeds?

I have it set to just vibrate the steering wheel and you get the graphics on the dash I find it the best set up for me and the wife

I left mine on for a couple of days, but it seemed borderline dangerous to be honest. I now just have the alarm on and it is wildly overzealous. I have a 2 hour drive from the city to where we live, and my old car used to “beep” at me a couple of times per drive home. This car is beeping at me several times a minute. To the extent that I was just on a work call and three minutes in somebody asked what the beeping was. It’s maddening.

You can turn down the sensitivity in the settings.

On MG Pilot, I find the car cant seem to see both white lines at the same time and work out where the centre line. It waits until it gets close to one line then moves the car away until it reaches the other white line.

Are you fully enabling MG Pilot by a quick double pull on the lower stick on the steering column?

Mine only does that if the lines aren't clear or the road is wet, otherwise it stays pretty much in the middle with Pilot, unlike just using LKA only where it seems to wander from side to side.
In the menus, I have LKA turned off and Pilot turned on.

It is not the best, it does struggle with narrow streets, but not in an annoying way, if I go down a street it deems "narrow" it will usually deactivate itself because it can't make out the lane markings.

This is what I want, is it just in the settings to change from intervene to alert?

On the mk2 it only works above about 35 mph
37 I think is the actual activation speed for reference

Do we all understand that a double pull is required on the lower stick on the steering wheel to activate lane centering and to follow the car in front at slow speeds when pressing the button on the end of the lower stick.

This is not related to LKA which just monitors and adjusts when to drift out of your lane.

I turned mine off, as when I pass lorries I want to give them a bit more space and it fights me.. might try the steering wheel vibrate.
