I've just cancelled my grey Trophy so that waiting list will now be fractionally shorter.

Sounds like you'll be getting free mats, free charging cables both charging and power to load, free paint protection etc. etc. especially if he wants future custom and servicing.
 
Just took a call from my local dealer, I have ordered a White Trophy, but there is a delivery ETA Friday (the boat we are all tracking) and would I consider a different colour to take delivery now?

I stated I was open to most colours, just not Volcano Orange.....but that is what they have plenty of apparently..... :p
As I originally thought, orange may have been the advertising teams theme / dream but not that of every day users.
All dealers have visibility of the full quarters deliveries, so I wait for 16 weeks or a cancelled order
 
The problem with the orange is it actually looks really flat, and I don’t know if it was the showroom lights that were rubbish but the black looked disappointingly flat too. Not going to spend £700 on a flat colour.

Each to their own.
Personally, having seen the Orange, to me it looks stunning, and I can see why all the MG promotion and advertising have led with the Orange. Though, I do like the black too.

I ordered my MG4 SE LR last weekend and was told it would take up to 6 weeks… Looking at this thread, that seems to be a bit, um, optimistic!

It was. Just got off the phone with the dealer and they said it will be 16 weeks now. Probably won’t see it before the end of January 😭

That does not surprise given it was only 2 weeks ago, I was advised xmas but my order went in 4 weeks ago, guessing that my was close to the the end of next full shipment, worked out my order will be around 12 weeks, but being realistic I will expect after new year, if before its a bonus. Just be thankful you havens ordered one from the VAG group, that is a min of 12 months away. ;)
 
Went for a test drive and ordered white MG4 SE long range, the salesman rang me 3 days later and said delivery after Christmas but I could have the showroom display model ,same car in Camden grey, he needs to replace it with another car so will ring me on Tuesday next as to when I can collect it ,Happy days, fingers crossed

Dont think so ,im not that botherd as only people sat in it ,im sure they will clean it ,im happy I'll not have to wait too long

It's not just the VAG group, MG are quoting a 42 week wait list on the ZS EV facelift !.
Some customers who ordered in November 2021 are STILL waiting for their cars.
 
Went to local dealer and they have a black Trophy arriving in a couple of weeks. Ordered that and cancelled the ZS LRTC.

I just hope that they honour the price they have for my part ex after 16 weeks

This has become a very difficult situation to manage to be honest !.
I was lucky enough to have my P/X price honoured, but the market has become SO fast moving, dealers are nervous about committing to a fix price on P/X valuations and then having to wait a LONG time to receive the new car !.
Prices of used EV’s are still running very strong right now, I would recommend that you keep tracking the price of your car via WBAC / CARZOO etc.
I think the price will remain pretty stable as the supply of EV’s is still slow.

Dealer rang me today Friday 21st, I can pick the car up Thursday 27th so he was true to his word it wasn't too long.
