Not sure where to hoy this, but if anyone wants a Black SE LR, like tomorrow, or quite soon :) one up for grabs in Charles’s Warner Lincoln 👍
I'm surprised they didn't mention it today, I have a deposit on SR and planning to pick up Saturday.
Spoke to Matt there today as they had a white LR available other day too, that I was tempted to switch to after getting a bit more for my ZS EV today.
But he said there weren't any more LR available with them, so ithe black may have gone too.
Wouldn't have worked for me as I didn't want a black one.
I'm looking forward to my dynamic red SR now anyway.

Matt is very good to deal with. Any further MG’s that I will be buying in the future will all come from him and / or Charles Warner 👍

EDIT: i will get round to posting a detailed review on the Dealership forum when I get chance.

So, after a full week of MG4 ownership and having done just under 500 miles, my fondness of this little MG4 is overwhelming.

The main niggles have been covered and have been done to death, so will not repeat them here.

I have found that the range is not what I expected, (less), but I believe that is mainly down to my motorway driving, although I am careful, ie no more than 70 mph, and generally between 60 - 68 mph, i find the range is more like 230 miles for the LR Trophy. This is around 60 miles motorway and 30 miles town. Not an issue, but requires a bit more planning for my next day ahead.

Some have given me grief for wanting an extended range version in the past, but hey-ho! With my use, an extended range would suit my needs better as whilst the expected range will be around 331 miles, factoring in 80% charge most of the time and my personal use, minus the bad weather and blower / ACC use, I feel this would be more like 300 miles, which would suit my needs better.

I love my colour…. A lot!! But I feel I will be changing for the ER next year.

Speaking of which, I have been informed this is to be expected April / may time. dependent on, and part ex permitting……I think I may be first in the que again :) colour on offer dependent :)

What mode are you using on a daily basis? Being retired I only do around 150 miles per week so the car will be ideal for me.

I use Normal mode for the day to day mileage but change to Eco for long journeys when I need to eke out as many miles as I can.

Could help I guess……using the default Normal Regen 3. May try the eco and see how I get on.

Thanks 👍

WOW!!! 117 of us MG EV’ers have ordered an MG4! Truly fantastic!

I met a lovely elderly gentleman with a Gen 1 ZS at the currently free TESCO charging point on Wednesday morning. He checked out my Tango, smiled and told me that he went to his local dealership (probs Donaldson in Peterborough) bearing in mind we were in Market Deeping, and told me that he test drove a 4. And that he was so impressed with the difference, he cancelled a Gen 2 he had on order, and placed an order for a MG4. The dealer at the time only had an Orange Trophy, he said no, and ordered a white one. He then told me, having seen mine in a different light, he wished he had said yes and took the Tango. Lol.

Anyway, thought I would share. It is really nice chatting to people at chargers, very communal 👍

Collected my car today.

First impressions good:

Handling is superb
Acceleration excellent
Steering excellent
Ride quality excellent
Brake feel just right for me if I set brake force to heavy. This is counterintuitive as I thought heavy would mean I need to press heavy but it actually means press lightly for heavy brake force!
Stereo - sounds the business
Controls - although lots to learn, it's quite intuitive once you get the hang of it
Seats - Really comfy, very impressed
Build quality seems good throughout (so far!)

First impressions not so good:

Driver awareness glitch that has been addressed (switched off)
Auto dark mode glitch also addressed, will be fixed with software update no doubt
Tyre noise louder than other cars I've driven, this was mentioned in reviews but no biggy
Lane keep assist is awful. I forgot to turn off and I was wrestling with the wheel till I could find a layby and switch it off. To be fair, I've never used it on any other car I've had for the same reason. If it was a Tesla maybe, but not the MG4, no thankyou, leave disabled!

My wife in honour of my hatred of a certain ex president has decided that the colour shall be named "Trump Tan"

Overall, really impressed.

Nice one ,,,”Trump-Tan”!! 🤣 it kinda works, but I think if my wife said it more than once… divorce would be on the cards …..however, not to be too hasty.,could I still afford to the car?? 🤔

Wow looks nice. I live in Ireland so I won't be able to see this car in person for another months or so. I find it odd that MG4 looks so much better than in amateur pictures than professional photographs, certainly better than the ones in promos.. Perhaps why countless people have reported this car looks much better in the flesh.

Tell ya what, took my litttle can of Tango into Town today, a lot of people staring at the car LOL….obviously slowed down ….could not get over 30 mph anyway, so I stayed around 25 mph….long story short,….. got 5.4 KWh having done 10 miles ….very happy with that!! 😁

was in “Eco`” for the first time btw, and auto regen.

I am looking forward to trying auto regen. On my ZS I use level 3 all of the time unless I am on the motorway When I use level 1

sometimes though, with level 3, I find myself slowing up a little early.

Saw my first MG4 soul mate in the wild today 😁. I had a stupid little daft game going on that I would make a note of my mileage when I see another MG4 in the wild……. 558 miles if anyone is interested 🤣.

‘Twas a lovely white one.

Now have another game going on in me heed regarding at what mileage I will see another Tango MG4.

oh my life is so fecking boring ha!

Ordered a Trophy in Black yesterday, hopefully I wil not have to wait the 16 weeks quoted for delivery, having bit the bullet and ordered, I want it now. The wait is killing me already.
Yeah, mine is expected towards the end of January. I’m enjoying all the advice, information and chat on the forum in the meantime. A black Trophy will be the bee’s knees!

You sound like me……I don’t do waiting very well 😁

Neither do I, so I've now changed my order in the poll from grey to orange!! My tango trophy is confirmed as arriving before the end of October :D.

I did like the grey, but (apart from the longer wait) we felt that it wasn't the best colour for the MG4 to show up the nice contrast between the black trim and the car colour.

I've seen the orange in person and really like it. Part of me thinks that sporty new car deserves sporty colour, not a reserved but classy colour like the grey. Part of me (the worried part) thinks that the orange will attract vandals and boy racers, and the family will accuse me of having a mid life crisis!
