Where to store the charging cable

Is there room under the drivers seat?
In my Focus I keep a spare pair of shoes under the drivers seat slid in from the front.
Is that safe? What if you braked suddenly and it slid out under your feet? At the moment I have my cable bag behind the front passenger seat as our baby seat is that side so no one needs yhe leg space.

No because there is a lip that they drop behind which probably doesn't exist on a flat floored MG4

Up-thread a "curry hook" is mentioned. Where is this in the boot? And do all MG4 models have it?

(A curry hook combined with a cable bag seems like a logical solution).
There's one here (not sure if on all models) - pic is from another thread on this forum

there is a big void under the Bonet of the mg4, the cabin heater is placed partially in the way, but im sure some one smart will make a strangely shaped box, may have a go

As long as it's water proof and doesn't compromise the airflow for cooling it sounds feasible.

So this is my fix...

For me using the curry or whatever hook just doesnt work so for me this is my solution.

Hook doesn't work

Put cable here along with the bits removed

Boot shelf goes back down

If I'm packing the boot full to go away and know I need to charge I'll just remove it beforehand.

But generally I hardly ever use the cable as I charge at home 99% of the time.

that’s a good idea will look into that if and when the flaming car turns up might fit the bag and the cable can someone who has the car please try it and see if it does, thanks.

I thought that but was concerned that its not designed to hold a cable bag and will it get hot under there? Or damp... I have no idea
Like you idea in the boot Adam but in the front wouldn’t worry to much about the bag just elongate the cable to fit the space it might get a bit of dampness but I doubt it, and as long as the caps are on the plugs that shouldn’t matter gets wet all the time when plugged into a charger, plus there’s nothing hot under there really to much plastic and cables in there already I would think, I always put my type2 under the bonnet on the 5 when the boot is full along with an extension for the granny in a carrier bag just in case it’s needed that stays there all the time and as never got wet yet,but with the type 2 day to day it lives in the boot only put it under the bonnet when travelling away for home rest of the time it lives in the boot for convenience really.

A good idea Adam. I can’t help wondering though where the granny charger would be stored. There is space on my ZS But I cannot see anything in your pictures.
Ye no room for granny in this car. To be fair the only time I'd ever take a granny is on a long journey where I know I cam charge at a mates house or holiday home, otherwise I'd never need one.

Maybe put granny in the bonnet?

Good point. The only time that I now use the granny charger is when I am on holiday.

Need to be a bit careful of the airbag connections under the seat.
My type two cable is still coiled up and resting on the cover under the bonnet. It has been since I got the car a year and 12000 old miles ago and hasn’t moved except when I pop the bonnet up to charge but that’s infrequent as I have a tethered charger at home and mostly use CCS tethered chargers out and about.
I did think about the under seat idea but apart from fouling the wiring there I once kept spare shoes there and one of them slid forward without me noticing and wedged under a pedal ( thankfully the go pedal and not the stop fellow )
