Vanarama Issues

I have removed a multitude of posts (and some responses) that were adding no value to this thread.
Stick to the subject at hand and avoid personal exchanges please.

Hi everyone,

I also reveived a call yesterday being reassured that due to the extension, my initial contract is still valid and that they have no update about when and if they will be delivering the car before end of May when the 18 months are due.

Just you. Had a call confirming they will honor original price till 18 months of my original date of order but still cant confirm it will be here with in that time scale

They just rang and told me build slot is expected Dec/Jan and delivery march/April. Though others here have said SE will be delivered quicker?(which I have on order) Who knows !

As the moderator of this forum, Stuart is perfectly entitled to set the rules as he sees fit. You haven't got to agree with him, and you haven't got to use this forum. Annoying him to the point hat he leaves this thread benefits no one.
Without this forum, I'd have no idea that I was 1 of approx 400 odd Vanarama customers annoyed that we are last in the line for a new car, and that while we are waiting other people are queue jumping! But those are rules set by the higher ups whose business it is to sell cars for a profit. If they choose to put Vanarama customers second to all their main dealers then that is their choice. The only thing keeping me in this queue is the good deal I was given back in November 2021. The price I pay for such a good deal, is the risk the deal falls through (by having no car turn up). Yes it sucks, but that's life.

Once again I have had to remove posts that have more to do with personal bickering than the subject at hand.

If you can't add value to the discussion, don't post at all.

Had the call Friday, it was very much scripted, as I asked further Q’s around if I decided to cancel, would the £350 still stand etc…

They were unable to help so hoping I’ll get a follow up call/ email

Refer back to post number 219 in this thread from Vanarama CEO. It's very clear that if you wish to cancel the cost of the charger you'll need to reimburse Vanarama is £350.

There were no conditions attached to this statement and it was not time bound.

Received this update from Vanarama today…. (ZS Trophy White. Order placed November 2021):
“Unfortunately, we are still waiting to hear further information from MG regarding the status of your vehicle. We have now escalated this to management to see if they have any better luck in contacting MG to obtain an update.”
I will be in touch once we have further information.

😞😞😞😞😞😞
Thats a long time to wait DK, I ordered my LR5 last November and picked it up 31March have you any other options as in trying other suppliers/garages ?

When they rang me in August and said the car was unlikely to arrive until April 2023 I contacted a local MG dealership who had a 2022 MG5 Exclusive in stock. It had been a cancelled order. After a test drive, I cancelled the ZS and took the MG5 which, although not the car I wanted, I am happy with.

Strange the crybully is singling me out for saying the finance may have had to change when, even if they've "forgotten", other people have had exactly the same communication.
I just paid the £350 for the charger and cancelled. By the time my ZS might arrive MG will have launched at least two newer models. I’m not sure what has gone wrong but whilst MG dealerships are receiving their orders, albeit slowly, to the best of my knowledge Vanarama haven’t had one of the 400+ cars they ordered last November.

Vanararama finally deliver an MG, better late than never. I wish.

just had a call from Vanarama about the extended plug in grant who casually dropped into the conversation that my order is now expected APRIL 2023....this was ordered in Jan 2022, slipped to May, June, then Sept and now April. total crapshow.

Shocking isn't it? I am in the same situation, I ordered through Vanarama in Nov 21. I am sure MG will have a ZS EV facelift before we even get our cars.

Seen a few posts on the social medias that dealers aren't expecting any cars for at least the next few months, and that MG will be making an announcement.
Suppose it's too much to hope the announcement is they're fulfilling lease orders for a few months :/
