Hi, just thought I'd share some pics of my home-made frunk for my car. Made of some PVC bathroom panels and an exercise mat.......

Well done (y)
Would I be right in thinking it is made of some off-cuts of UVPC plastic cladding by any chance 🤷‍♂️?.
Yes, its offcuts of bathroom cladding, liquid nails to hold it altogether and stays made of upvc window strips bent to shape to make brackets and then screwed to plastic panels back and front of bonnet area

Steve401. Looks like I need to drive from Bexley to Rochester 😂
If interested I could make a drawing and give construction details. It is made of bathroom cladding offcuts and some upvc window strips I had left over. It could also be made from a sheet of ply wood I suppose

This looks great. It would be ideal for storing the charging cable instead of having to shift all the luggage from the boot to get to it.

This looks ideal for storing the charging cable. Otherwise its a bit of a nuisance if you have to empty the boot to get to it.

Just a slightly different take on this.
The wife bought a couple of clear plastic storage boxes from Home Bargains and I thought one of them would make a useful frunk (or froot!).
It fits great, has a lid, and is easily secured (and removed) with two bolts in the threaded holes provided. I've got my charging cable, V2L cable and various cleaning stuff in there. Cost, less than £5. I can upload some pics if interested.

Here we go.....

The size is 60 x 40 x 20cm (give or take a few millimetres) including the lid. The wife can't remember the exact cost but it wasn't any more than a fiver. For fixing it in place there are two obvious bolt holes and I had to cut out a small area to accommodate the black cable and clip as it is raised. On the right hand side I fixed a small piece of wood (screwed to the bottom of the box) just to keep it level. It's easily removable.
It isn't as fancy as the moulded one from Ireland but that is out of my budget.
