Top accessories

Managed to get the original from eBay. Seller was selling the entire set with the mats and mud flaps but I asked if I could just take the boot liner for £50. Much lighter than the heavy rubber mat posted above...

I have this MG one, what puzzles me though is why it has the central hinge like section when the boot floor is all one piece ?

My favourite accessory..

I have fitted the mudflaps and haven't noticed any difference still gets filthy very quickly

The MG mud flaps are about as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike. :sneaky:
The Prius has the best solution to prevent the sides of the car getting dirty, so much so that it doesn't need mudflaps. The sill covers are square so all the splashed up dirt is on the bottom of the sill where you can't see it. The rear end still gets dirty but the rear window doesn't because of the slope of it.

@Wazzmania do you have a spare tyre installed beneath the liner? Mine sits deeper and the corner get caught on the little shelf part circled below.

I was going to ask the dealer if this liner is actually the specific one for the ZS EV as it really catches on sides when accessing the below for the charger. The corners also turn up so it's not well fitted.

Does anyone else have a dealer supplied one different to these in the photos?

(based in Victoria, Australia)

This is my Dealer supplied boot mat. Has been in the boot for the last eighteen months and still fits perfect.

Thanks Dodger, but the floor in my car sits lower than it appears in your photo.

If you look on my image, there are black parts where a shelf would sit on (circled in blue).

Do you have a really deep cavity below the boot floor that the liner sits on? Or do you actually have a spare wheel? (mine has a repair kit so floor can sit lower.

I might need to have a look and see if my floor can be set at a higher level.

The boot floor has 2 positions. You can use the lower as you are, or use the upper as Dodger is. Just pull the floor out and slide it onto the upper supports that you pointed out to use the higher setting.
I have spacesaver spare and the floor still fits nicely on the lower setting.
I use lower setting when filling the boot e.g. holiday, and the higher for day to day to use, e.g. shopping as it is easier to slide things in and out.
When you have it on the lower setting to fully open the underfloor space you do have to slide the floor towards the rear of the car a bit as you lift it to prevent it catching on the upper supports as you have pointed out.
:)

When I considered buying the MG spacer saver, I did not really want to loose the facility to use both levels of the boot floor cover.
I like to use the extra space in the boot with the board on the lower setting.
I found that when using the MG space saver you CAN set the floor level in the lower setting.
If you use a full size spare wheel, you will loose the lower setting.
I don’t see the need to carry the MG inflation kit anymore ?.
I just carry a can of Holts tyre repair foam in a can, just for belt & braces 😁!.
I coil my type 2 public charging cable around the outside of the space saver wheel ( not used a lot ) and therefore the boot is always neat and tidy.
The warning triangle sits behind the space saver, below the boot cover board also.
So, no loss in space in the boot and everything is packed away.
The boot cover board is then protected by the MG interior protective boot floor liner.
It came in a “Interior Protection Pack” that included the following items.
Front and rear tailored mats, boot liner and front and rear mud flaps.
I think it was about £130.00 at the time.
Which I though it was a reasonable.
The MG space saver kit was the same price, but I believe it has increased a LOT in price now due to popularity.

We purchased a dog Hammock for our German Shepherd it covers the back seats and you also get a seat belt with it . :)

I bought this in black/beige via Amazon and this is what it really looks like:

It did not fit in any kind of way, was not black/beige but black/gold and was folded to death for shipping...

They didn't even want me to send it back, they just refunded me the price.
