MG4 Trophy Sat Nav activation

Hi,

Just bought the MG4 Trophy LR and when I wanted to use the Satellite navigation, message comes to Grant Permission in Settings. When I do that, I can’t find any checkbox to confirm.

Has anyone done that before?

From what others have posted the permission setting is in the main settings not in the sat-nav settings

Thank you. My MG4 sat nav doesn’t work. I’m going to try again tomorrow.

We have Trophy on order so would very much like to know the outcome. I would expect this function to be enabled as part of the PDI. Are there any other functions that need to be set up?

Hi, I found out how to do it by reading another comment on here. It wasn’t obvious to me but:
In sat Nav it asks you to accept settings? Anyway if you try you get another screen. Scroll down the side options to ‘privacy’.
In ‘Privacy’ scroll down from ‘accept’ and then accept the options. Or physically scroll up, if that makes sense? It’s below the ‘accept‘ box.

Did you see the three boxes you have at accept?
I tried to retrace my steps but I can’t. I hope it works. Maybe someone has written the answer more clearly than me.

Hi Sue, many thanks for your swift reply and yep we did. Whenever we checked any of those boxes (or all) it was impossible to press Agree button (inactive).
Pressing Deny button, in any case, was active, and takes you to a message saying related functions being denied....so, impossible to proceed if any of the boxes was checked for agreement. Either it is a system error, or the car dealer did not enable certain functionalities, I guess.
Waiting for the car dealer to respond to my email...will let you know the outcome.

Mine didn’t know how to fix it, so good luck. I just swiped all of the three boxes in the page under accept, and it’s working. Good luck.

Hi Sue, somehow it worked. After trying many reasonable and stupid options, my last try included connecting Android phone with a USB cable. After connection, from the main infotainment screen we pressed the Nav button, and suddenly I was in! When I disconnected the phone, Nav system was still working.
I dont know what happened, but looks like it just needed an initial push

I connected my Android phone to the USB port and it downloaded the android Google and it is there without the phone

Thank you, thank you. Why was it so obscure? Now I've allowed permission, it still won't display navigation!!

It's a little potty, but having accepted permissions in Privacy section of Settings, scroll the page down further and check boxes appear below the current screen. Well hidden!
There you will be able to enable voice and sat navigation.
