Hi sorry for being thick, I got my MG4 today, got home plugged it into my zappi home charger and car not charging any clues please.

Have you turned on the Zappi? I have a Wallbox Pulsar Plus and to start charging I will have to press the button in the Wallbox app to start charging (or set a schedule in the app).

My sister used it in her enyaq by just plugging it in, no other way really.

Page 174 of the owners manual tells you how to do it which can be downloaded here.
Apparently you need to lock the doors to start the charging.
Or to complicate matters if you are sitting in the car testing it

On your zappi what mode is it in FAST, ECO or ECO+ ?

Use the Up down arrows to change the Mode. If you want to charge Now, you'll need it in FAST

Also if the car has more than 80% charge then it wont charge unless you change the settings in the car. I say as my car had 100% battery when I picked it up

Jona, what cable did you get with the car? If you have a granny charger could you try that to eliminate the zappi?

Using an AC charging device:
1 Ensure the vehicle is power OFF and all doors are
closed.
2 Open the charging port door.
3 Plug the cable from the charger point into the vehicle.

Lock the vehicle.

I've been trying to add a suggestion about the cable for the last five minutes :) I have a feeling mine may not work when I eventually get to try it out

This is good advice. If your Zappi is in ECO or ECO+ it might be looking for solar power that you don’t have.

OK so someone with Zappi knowledge needs to help you. Glad sat nav is ok

P.s I assume your zappi is not on a schedule to use octopus go for example?

I came across this post in the Myenergi forum which might be of help, “Selecting FAST mode on Zappi should always charge providing the EV is plugged in. Unfortunately, some EVs have strange habits and can go into a deep sleep so not awaken for charging. Try unlocking/locking the car. Or unplug then plug in again (whilst Zappi is on FAST mode).

The Message Charge Delayed shows that Zappi has offered a charge to the car, but the car is not accepting it.

Yes also check there are no schedules etc set in the car. They can fight the Zappi charging.
Which EV is it? Does it have an app? Maybe you can wake the car via the car app?
Peter”

Somebody with zappi home charger please help. Tried on my sisters enyak again and not charging. It seems to be a issue with the zappi?
