I cancelled my order for a MGZS Trophy Long Range just about three weeks ago, got my deposit returned from my dealer and ordered another from New-Car-Discount.com who were advertising availability. The car was already in the country and being PDI'd. It was delivered free within 10 days of ordering, I paid a day before delivery, it arrived on a trailer with 100% charge, floor mats and a proper second charge cable for untethered access to public chargers. If you are still waiting for a build date or want to break out of the endless loop, just try them. They are a perfectly good, well established and backed organisation - just google their reviews for yourself.

I believe they are acting as some sort of broker / go-between for MG (and many other makes) and large corporate B2B buyers (fleets etc??) who have spares and over-orders which they need to offload from time to time. My car came via a well known national car handling commany in the Coventry area where it was prepped. It is the exact spec and has the sliiiiiding roooooooof! Oh yeah!

Oh, did I mention the price....? Let's just say it was very nice indeed! It might be worth trying them and see what they quote you.
 
Sorry, I hoped to do this the last week, but there's an awful lot going on at Oakers HQ at the moment sadly with my wife's ill health :(

Anyway, I've finally updated the spreadsheet with everyone's responses. I don't think I've missed anyone, but just give a shout out in the comments.

Seems like the order fulfilment is slowing down a bit now, hopefully it picks up again soon, but they are coming through slowly.

As ever, please try and remember to put a quick message in this thread when you collect your car so the fulfilled statistics are accurate.

Stats overview as of 27/11/2022 22:25PM (UK MG ZS Models only):

Total Orders: 277
Orders fulfilled: 129
Fulfilled %: 46.57 (Slowly getting up to 50%)

Most popular model: Trophy LR (153)
Most popular colour: Blue (70)
Most fulfilled car: Trophy LR in Blue (19)

Huh. It doesn't seem like MG should have spares to off-load at at the moment.

But hey, congrats on getting your car!

Thanks for this @Oakers. Would you mind sending the link to the sheet if its on the cloud? May be updating the title of this thread with the link to the spreadsheet will be good for everyone to refer to it instead of searching for it? If it's not on the cloud, perhaps creating a google spreadsheet with all the data (with readonly/view only access to everyone) publicly visible can be a good idea.

We're still on the list. Had an email from our dealer that both cars have now been built but are expected end of February. 22nd Jan 2022 -> March 2023 will be our current estimate.

If they come in so close to the 23 plate then we've asked for the dealer to store our cars until the new reg. Will be about a 57 week wait for us.
