MG4 Software Update Thread

I’m currently on ver R10. Not getting any real problems but yes the android auto screen is annoying if I use it.this is on my LR.

Don’t want to hijack the thread… my car is in for other stuff. I told them to update the software because it’s at R26 at present (it’s a Trophy). They say they’ve updated the LKA firmware but that’s all they are able to do because there’s nothing else that’s applicable!! I’m tempted to take it elsewhere when I eventually get the car back.

One thing I have seen others with on their cars is a different looking Home Screen. One with the weather missing, larger Apple and android icons, and a large right hand control for the aircon temperatures. How is this done? I don’t know whether it’s just part of the latest update, or something I’ve missed where you can just apply some customisation to the Home Screen.

My car doesn’t remember the LKA, driver awareness detection settings between starts of the car, hence me wanting a software update, as some people seem to have no issues with it remembering stuff.

I believe that the SE and Trophy have a quite different home screen with the SR (which I've got) not displaying the weather etc . If you've got a Trophy you might want to asl where the other bits are!
FWIW my car seems to forget everything between journeys, sometimes during journeys!
 
Interesting. I just find it weird that people on here have R30 or R29. Unless their software versioning goes backwards, you’d have thought these were newer, but at this point I wouldn’t be surprised…
 
I believe the infotainment software updates OTA, but not the rest of the car software. When I was at my dealers they said they'd gone to do an update on a car, to find that the car had actually already done it itself OTA!
 
The infotainment software can update OTA, but that's not enabled/available yet. All other softwares are dealer-only as they're updated via USB stick.

The Trophy has "Additional Services" which include weather, live traffic and Amazon music which is why the weather is not displayed on the SE.
