I have found that the TPMS readings, can be a little erratic and shift about a bit, until they settle down again. Not yet but I did have to pump the tyres up to there 2.8 as was showing 2.6 with the colder temps
No.Has anyone had problems with the Tyre Pressure monitoring system going haywire in the cold weather on the new MG ZS EV facelift.
2.8 I believe. It's written on the drivers side doorWhat should the tyre pressure be I set mine at 2.6?
The ZS EV Gen 1 is like that, but the Gen 2 appears to reset the TPMS fairly quickly after booting up the car.As soon as it reaches 2.5 the car will start to alert on it. Thats how I realised that mine was low last night and unlike other cars, the TPMS is quite quick in detecting the latest tyre pressure. As I was filling it up, it was updating almost instantly.
Past cars I had, I had to drive the car for a few miles for the system to detect the new values
Oh okay, I had a 2021 Kona Ultimate EV, 2022 Ioniq EV and 2020 DS3 EV. None of those updated as fast as this. Needed a few miles driving. This car amazes me everyday. The ZS EV Gen 1 is like that, but the Gen 2 appears to reset the TPMS fairly quickly after booting up the car.
Unless you disconnect the battery, then it needs do the relearning process.
It will read four dashes on the read out screen, until you have covered a few miles.
If you had not long driven it, the TPMS sensors may have still been "awake".As soon as it reaches 2.5 the car will start to alert on it. Apologies but not sure I understand what you meant thereIf you had not long driven it, the TPMS sensors may have still been "awake".
The sensors go into standby after a while, and are woken up when the wheels rotate. But see N2STY's reply above.Apologies but not sure I understand what you meant there
