Hi Billy, just wanted to say many thanks for the heads up about Motorpoint sold my MG5 SR to them today at there Widnes branch very similar story to you no arguments on the price even tho my quote had just expired and I had done 1200 miles more not a problem at all in and out with the money in my account in 40 minutes and like yourself over 2 grand more than I paid for the car to boot. So many thanks again for your post about them
Les.

Good morning Jeff I’m not sure as yet the 5 was getting a little bit harder for me to get into as I don’t bend quite as easily now as I use too, but once in I’m fine, the ZS of course would be better in some respect but is not available, as you probably know, not interested in the HS hybrid surprise they have never come with that as a full EV to be honest.
The wife has recently got the 4 that believe or not is better to get into but a pig to get out off because of to sills so dam wide they are ridiculous but it is a nice car I like the ionic5 very much but out of my price range to buy but there are some decent lease deals going about on them so may be looking at them but all that being said the updated MG5 I looked at in the showroom did seem I little better to get into than mine probably because of the bigger wheels to be honest jeff in answer to your question I don’t know but that offer from Motorpoint was to good to miss over £1500 more than the MG dealer could offer me so I had 20 months of very cheap motoring and put more money back in the bank than I paid out been a great buy and I really did like the 5 never had a problem with the range even on long journeys you just need to do a bit of forward planning that’s all and it did all I needed it to do.

At the other end of the price spectrum, I just sold what was pretty much a basket case of a 2005 Focus (115k miles) to WeBuyAnyCar. Clutch was slipping (so badly we were concerned we might not make it to the selling place), which I put on the condition report. We'd been keeping it running as a backup second car until our new MG5 arrived.

WeBuyAnyCar quoted more than we expected online, and when I took it in he gave me £150 more than that!

Again the experience was really smooth and we got almost twice what had been offered for a trade-in.

Hi Les, perhaps give new car discount a call, they seem to have ZS available at short notice. I found them excellent and much cheaper than garages? I have no interest in them other than being a satisfied customer.

Sounds to me like a facelift LR would be right up your street Les ?.
The higher ride height, makes getting in and out much easier.
A relative of mine, moved over from a low ride height five door hatchback, about ten years ago.
He has had two replacement hips and a replacement knee.
He said once you moved across to a small SUV / Crossover you will not return to the low ride height cars again.
Why not PM Miles and ask him Les ?.
Jeff.
