Vanarama Issues

So with the news that the Marvel will be coming to UK market in 2023, will this replace the ZS? We were told that this current version mk2 would stop in 2023 but expected a mk3 face-lift model but with the news that the Marvel will come to the UK are MG going to sell to suv ev's?
The Mk3 ZS isn't a facelift based on the last news we had... It'll be a new rendition on the MSP.

Not quite sure what the last question was - did you mean whether MG will sell two SUV EVs? As far as I can see, the Marvel and the ZS are aimed at difference price points... I can't see MG not keeping the latter 'affordable' vehicle in some form when it's so popular.

So as we roll into another month has anyone had delivery of a MG ZS or any model infact from Vanarama yet?

Nothing yet, I dont think there are any plans this side of Xmas
Your being generous in saying they have a plan! Time to move on. Vanarama clearly don't have the will or gumption to fulfil orders. A company owned by Autotrader could apply pressure if they so wished but, choose to be mute. Think I'll go back to a European car manufacturer as at least they offer a policy that respects the end user. MG ZS = mis- guided, zero system customer care. Looking at the price reductions of the z4 ( in Australia) and probably coming here, I'm certainly glade I didn't purchase one. I expect the ZS to follow suit. I dread to think what would happen if the car needed a recall! No confidence in either Vanarama or MG.

Well, This is my charge point, All turned off with attached cobwebs, They have no intension of supplying these to us.
Turned into an unfunny joke, And it's not funny anymore, People have lost the grant, People have had to give back lease cars or buy second hand cars to see them through, People at the start were held to ransom cos of having to pay the full cost of the charger if they canceled, They say it's only £350 now, But lease prices and car prices have shot up since back then.
Vanarama are responsible for a lot of people losing a lot of time and a lot of money with zero F's given.
I'm now at that point were I may start to fire of some emails to some publications, Cant hurt.

Why don’t you all wake up and smell the coffee !
You ain’t got a hope in hell of Vanarama honouring their side and supplying you with a MG ZS
Isnt it about time you all got together and did a class action on them instead of whinging on here about it 🙄
People are getting Facelifted MG5’s and New MG4’s quick
I wouldn’t mind betting MG ZS production has ceased

I myself am not bothered anymore, When we took this out we had 2 years left on our mortgage, We now have only 11 months, So when that's gone a Chinese made MG is not gonna be on our what car should we buy list.
I don't know why anyone would pay the premium over a petrol anymore, What with the electric price rise and EV premium there are no saving to be made anymore, I would put down money that an EV is a lot dearer over it's ownership.
I just had a look and The top of the range MG ZS EV Trophy £34,500, The top of the range Exclusive petrol version is just under £20,000, Or £22,300 with the 6 speed Auto.
Ok the engines may not be great, But you don't buy theses with the thinking it's sporty, But that difference alone could keep you in petrol for most of it's ownership.

I just think we need to keep this forum active. It's obvious that Vanarama have paid to push this discussion away from the main.

Vanarama are a joke and I personally wouldn't use them or recommend them to anyone anymore.

MG well to be honest I'm hearing so many negative comments regarding build quality and after sales service that in fact I may have dodged a bullet and definitely glad I didn't purchase one.

Saying that work is doing a salary sacrifice scheme in the new year so will look at the options with the new Renault Megane Etech sitting high on my wish list.

Can we all just make an effort to keep bumbing this discussion and not let it fade into the background.

Couldn't agree more. The opportunities missed due to "hanging on" in hope for Vanarama to act has made this journey a complete dead end. They are a big company (AutoTrader) and could easily have applied pressure. Looked at converting my ZS lease to a MG4. Sat in one and quickly got out. Poor quality inside and out. Genuinely now believe I've dodged a bullet going to MG and Vanarma.

Slightly of topic mate but I had an MG 4 on order and cancelled it, now due to pic up a Megan Etech in the next week or 2, night and day the difference in quality, just my tuppence worth

Where did you get this price from? Not massive fan of Citroen, but willing to consider it at this price.
I
As we are unlikely to receive our cars. Just ordered a citroen c4 e shine plus front zen auto. This car is similar in size to the z4. It's miles better in looks and quality of build. Smaller range could be an issue for some.
I ordered a pre reg (72 plate). 4- 6 weeks lead time . 10k miles a year for 3 years. £2k first payment and £292 per month thereafter. This top spec. Car is £415 pm. plus plus elsewhere. If my ZS turns up soon, or Vanarama give a real eta. I can cancel. I will loose the £99 processing fee only. They have a few left and may help some of the frustrated Vanarama clients like me out.
I have ended up ordering this because of your post. At this point for ordering an electric vehicle today this is an absolute bargain! Its a top of the range vehicle with respectable range. I ordered mine as 32 months, 1 month up front, 10K miles and £352 per month. For a £35700 vehicle this is an incredible offer. Anyone reading this, if you are dead set on an electric car soon, you WILL NOT get better than this. Your MG will sadly never arrive.

Are these not exceptionally higher on monthly payments? If so, I would expect night and day wouldnt you?

I'm surprised many more haven't seen the light. Mines, coming next Thursday. If anyone is looking at the MG 4 this is miles better. All the best.

Hi. Had an email from Zen Auto that my order has been paused due to issues with the batteries on all ec4 ,208 and 2008. Cancelled order and probably just going to lease a Nissan Qashqai as this battery option is just not worth the effort. I'll just plant some more trees. :)

WOW. Customer service at its best. As mentioned previously, my Citroen ec4 delivery has been delayed due to a car recall. Zen/ Citroen I don't know who have sent me a hire car free of charge, until My car arrives.
Vanarama are you listening?

The usual monthly call from Vanarama yesterday, still no build date surprise surprise!!! Asked the girl who called if they are going to admit that these cars are never gonna actually appear and start making a contingency plan of other preferential deals they could offer on vehicles that have actually been built!! But as usual the young lady knew nothing and couldn't answer any of my questions! They just agree it's poor and repeat the usual drivel that it's expected in April to which I reply how can you anticipate this when there is still no build date! I then realise I'm getting no where and give up!! Same again next month I'm sure!! Why doesn't someone who can answer questions call!?? It's just a fruitless exercise and a waste of everyone's time!!

Same boring call saying absolutely nothing. No build date, the "estimated" delivery is 28 April 2023. Grant extension expires in May but not sure what day in May, so therefore no buffer at all. Zero confidence in Vanarama.
